New TV Ad

I know this is no big deal, but due to my obsession with all things Mac...

Just saw a commercial on TV, telling people SYW and TVBOFM are in stores for the holiday shopping season. Played a few clips & showed some pics from the CD jackets. Not sure if the commercial was from Borders, or Warner Bros., both names were listed at the end. The last sentence was:

"And see the band in concert for the 2004 premiere of PBS Soundstage this spring", or something to that effect.

I think it IS a big deal!

I heard it last night! All's I could think is YES! Some PR for the band! I really really wished the band could have capitolized on a video around the holidays. Maybe we'll start seeing a bit of The Dance on PBS fund raising. That show always gets people talking about this band!

I didn't think about this until after I started the thread - but I thought it was LB's Soundstage, not Mac's. I know Stevie was a guest, but were the guys there too?

Seems trivial, but hmmmmmmmm.....

on September 23, in Boston, Fleetwood Mac taped their own episode of Soundstage. This was before a small audience of about 1,000 people.

I know they taped that show, but I thought it was just a PBS concert special, not an official "Soundstage" show. Do't they talk a bit more for Soundstage, ala Storytellers?

Oh well, who cares, I really don't give a damn, I'm just psyched I'l have something to get me through my Mac withdrawl soon!!!

I was under the impression that 'Soundstage' was the name of a show, thus the 'Soundstage' studio. I thought the other was just a PBS Special.

Nothing is ever simple. Argh.

I want to see this commercial. Anybody have it up on a site yet?

It's the same commercial I posted about the other day. I've only seen it on during Oprah. I guess they feel that Fleetwood Mac's target audience are Oprah's target audience as well. Go figure. At any rate, that's the best time to catch it. It usually plays once or twice during the show

Please don't make me watch an Oprah episode! At least warn me if Dr. Phil is going to be on.
I guess I can tape and FF it. Thanks.

Lindsey taped a Soundstage episode in mid-September.

The Mac taped a Soundstage episode on September 23 and 24. The 23rd was mainly for close-ups, the 24th will be the majority of the concert. it is not a PBS special, it's just a Soundstage episode.

They don't talk like on Storytellers, but before Landslide, Stevie told us that she wrote it about Lindsey and that he taught her to play it on the guitar.

Oh I just saw the ad on VH-1. I was doing something and I hear "Peacekeeper" so my heart always races a bit when I see or hear them.
I am pretty sure that the PBS special is part of the "Soundstage" concerts even though it was not recorded at the actually Soundstage.
