What happens if you don't get PBS?

I was so excited that the Fleetwood Mac Concert was going to air on tv, that I decided to make sure I had PBS, and to my horror, I don't!

So what happens if you are one of the people who's town doesn't have PBS? Does that mean we won't be able to see it or will they air it on a different channel? Or is it definatley coming out on dvd and we don't have to worry about it airing on tv? This is really starting to bug me...

Thanks for any info on this matter.

Also, anyone know when it will air/come out on dvd? I hope soon!

How can one not have PBS? Everyone has it! The taxpayers of America pay for it. You don't even have to have cable to get it. Try going to PBS.com to look up your area; it's public broadcasting and you MUST have it.

Anyone else who doesn't have PBS? This has got me mystified.

Just use rabbit ears and disconnect your cable

If you are not totally out in the boonies you must be in range of a PBS station - NJ, where I live, has atleast 10-15 stations alone that are PBS affiliates. The largest two are offered with my cable TV subscription. Back in the days of old fashion TVs before they were cable ready they had a UHF and a VHF band and most PBS stations were on the band that the regular channels were not. Find yourself a conventional TV where you can hook up an antenna and try both bands until you find your areas' PBS station.

The boonies aren't the only ones that don't have it. I can't get it in West Lafayette, IN on Nova Cable either. I was so upset when I Tried to find the Charlie Rose show only to discover NO PBS! I did try the website at the time, desperate, to no avail.

Get someone to tape it for you is all I can say.

Well I checked my tv, and I have several stations that are PBS stations, but it is not just plain old PBS. It is called something else. Is this the same thing?

I live in a suburb of Orlando, FL. So I am not exactly living like tarzan... this just makes me mad to think I won't be able to watch it when everyone else does.

The station I found is called WHS11 or something like that and has a PBS logo on it. Is this a normal PBS station that they would most likely air the concert on? Thanks!

And again, does anyone know when it will air on tv? I hope soon.

Also, is it def. going to be on dvd?

Yes, it is a PBS station that will show the concert and yes, it will be on DVD.

Yay! I am so excited! I love the Dance video and I must watch it weekly, maybe even more! So I am so glad it will be on dvd for us to watch over and over and over again!

Well, our PBS stations are WQED and WQEX so I'm sure you get PBS, it's just got that "W" thing in front of it. Really, everyone must get PBS, there's really no getting away from it :)
