Is Christine REALLY coming out with a new album?
 

Has there ever been anything official saying Christine is coming out with a new album? I am starting to think it is not going to happen.... Anyone have any info on this album in question?

Well, about the time that Say You Will was being released, there was an article from an English newspaper about her looking for a record label to release her songs under. And something about how the material was in the "mixing stages" so I think there is a good chance it is coming out. Then there are some music sites where her album is showed under the upcoming releases set for 2004. So I'm not completely sure that is going to be released. Let's just hope that she does decide to release it.

Neil (nodmod) had asked Ken C. about it and KC said it was pretty much done, it was just geting the record deal.

As much as I hope it comes out too, I bet "getting the deal" is going to be the sticking point as if we assume that Christine will only sign a deal with a label that will let her release an album and not tour to promote it, then I don't think there'll be many takers. Perhaps a smaller label may be more flexible with that but it seems they want it to be on a big label and I don't know if they'll have much success in that plan but here's hoping anyways. :)

I hope she gets signed, I'd love to hear some of her new stuff. Have any of you seen that recent pic of her over at http://www.fleetwoodmac-uk.com ? It's good to see she's still out and about. :)

BTW, any of you know any good Christine sites? Hers seem to be rather scarce.

In Ken's e-mail, I think he said that she had gotten some interest from record labels over there. I assume he was referring to some British record labels. I didn't think she was looking for any major record deal over here in the U.S. I also don't think touring makes much of a difference to older artist's record sales. Look at Fleetwood Mac now. They're touring everywhere and it doesn't seem to have done much of anything for Say You Will record sales.
Anyway, hopefully we'll see Christine's album sometime next year.:)

Well, I have a Chris site, but it's under construction... lol. So it's not too great right now (dead images... eep).

Anywho, I hope the new album rumour is true! I miss Chris a helluva lot, lol.
