Christine sighting

Evidently, on September 26 in London, there was some sort of awards ceremony sponsored by Capital Gold, which, I believe, is a radio station there. Perhaps the UK Ledgies can clarify more. I'm not sure what the awards mean, unless it was just an excuse for some fun. ;)

Anyway, Fleetwood Mac was selected as the winner in the Legendary Album category for Rumours, and Christine accepted the award on behalf of the band! I've attached a picture of Christine that I found on the Capital Gold site.

Here is the description and list of winners from the site:

The first-ever Capital Gold Legends Awards were held on Friday 26th September at the Hilton London Metropole. The stars came out in force for the gala dinner auction and awrds ceremony, which was punctuated with live performances from the cast of We Will Rock You, The Moody Blues and Marti Pellow. The Wet Wet Wet frontman played a world-exclusive new version of the band's 1994 No 1 'Love is All Around', backed by a string quartet.

Still beautiful.. but looking very tired. :( I miss Christine. It's a travesty that we don't see or hear more about or from her.

Thanks for sharing.

joe 09-30-2003 01:42 PM

wow! thanks for sharing that! she looks GREAT!!! pretty tan too....i thought England was always cloudy!!! ;)

Josh2003 09-30-2003 01:46 PM

Wow...even though I think she's really aged since we've last seen her (it HAS been five years now), she looks amazing.

But look at those monstrous HANDS. This just reinforces my theory that this woman has massive appendages. Don't believe me? Look at one of the pictures from the Rock and Roll HOF induction...when they're all standing there with Peter Green...her feet compared to Stevie's are huge.

OK...just a weird observation.

Thanks Les, it's nice to see Christine out and about! I think her face looks very, very thin. Anyone else agree with me? And Josh, her hands do look rather large, but maybe it's just the camera angle????

She looks great, and I don't think she has really aged that much. It has been 7 years now anyway! I wasn't expecting her to look as wonderful since this is the first time we have seen a recent photo of her in a while.

I love Christine.... What is she doing in England? Join the band please!!!!

strandinthewind 09-30-2003 03:04 PM

I think she looks great. AND she is still wearing a wedding ring!!!!

gypsysara 09-30-2003 03:06 PM

Thanks for posing that Les!

Christine looks lovely! What an infectious smile she has upon her lips! Sure she looks older but arent we all older?

I hope to hear news about her new album soon... :)

Thanks for posting the beautiful picture of Christine. She looks terrific and what a pretty smile. I've only seen 3 pictures of Christine in the last few years and she's had a beautiful smile every time. Living at home in England must agree with her. I also noticed the wedding ring, too.

She looks very, very good. Love the tan. She looks very happy. How old is Chris now? Whatever she's doing certainly agrees with her.

She looks lovely!
I don't think she looks tired. She's definitely aged, but she continues to age very gracefully. She's adorable.

This is great.

I'm really glad to see Christine after all this time. I became a fan after the release of The Dance, so this is the first time I've actually seen her since the DVD. She looks great, always has. I'm really glad to see her with a smile and know that she is happy. In a way it confirms that her she is not locked away in her English castle playing her piano in sorrow. I'M SO EXCITED about her new solo album. :D

Where's that new CD already??

Well done, Les!!

The last pic I saw of Christine was of the honorary doctorate conferral ceremony from a few years back. She's got that poise going as usual - 'class act'!

People say she looks older six years on from The Dance, but between her and Lindsey, I'm not sure who has aged more... possibly the latter.
