What's most frequently played in your area?

Out of all the FM songs (both solo and band-wise), which ones get played on the radio???

Okay, I live in Amarillo, Tx, and here is what we hear...

Most Frequently Played

Go Your Own Way
You Make Loving Fun
Never Going Back Again

Sometimes Played

Landslide
Don't Stop
Gypsy (just recently it's been getting quite a bit of airplay)
Edge Of Seventeen

Once in a blue moon...

Dreams
Rhiannon
Over My Head
Silver Springs (studio only, haven't heard TD version in years)
Seven Wonders (some DJ must of heard it on VBO and liked it)

Only at Furrs and Dariy Queen

Sara
Say You Will (every freakin day)
Gypsy
The entire Timespace album is on rotation at Dariy Queen, but they conveniently omitted Sometimes It's A Bitch and Desert Angel.

I think someone in Amarilo really doesn't like Stevie. :distress:

Well in Philly I hear Dreams, GYOW, Edge of 17, Leather and Lace, and both Landslides every single day of my life.

Then I hear Stand Back, Gypsy, Hold Me, Everywhere, Sara, Sentimental Lady, You Make Loving Fun, Say You Love Me, Tusk, NGBA, Silver Springs, The Chain, SHN ,Stop Draggin, sometimes, but never anything more than that.

Once or twice I have heard like Trouble or Talk To Me, and then there was the new singles I heard, IYEDB did really well on this Delware station , I heard Peacekeeper and SYW sometimes. I hear Rooms of Fire once and Big Love once or twice...but not much.

Ok, this is for Boston and Central Massachusetts

-Frequently Played
Dreams
Go Your Own Way
Landslide (mostly Dixie Chicks version)
Say You Will

-Sometimes
Rhiannon
Say You Love Me
Edge Of 17
Don't Stop

-Rarely
Gypsy
Silver Springs
Over My Head
You Make Loving Fun
GOT A HOLD ON ME (God, I celebrate when that comes on)

That's mostly what I hear...once in a great while you hear obscure songs from Bare Trees and Tusk and stuff...but basically it's the same old stuff.

Shamus:)

I hear Stand Back ALL the freakin' time!!! I've actually heard SYW a lot lately...and that's pretty much it :(

This area sucks when it comes to commercial radio stations...

Something's being played somewhere!

Well I mostly listen to NPR in my area. The only Fleetwood Mac songs they play on there, that I've heard, are the early Fleetwood Mac blues songs(I ain't complaining) and I did hear "Bare Trees" once and I'm definitely not complaining!!

If I switched to the classic rock station I'd venture to say that it'd be mostly White Album or Rumours songs or Christine's songs from TITN. Also "Sara" from Tusk or "Gypsy" from Mirage. Include Stevie's "Stand Back", "Edge Of Seventeen", "Leather And Lace", and "Stop Dragging My Heart Around".

Easy listening...Pretty much the same as the classic rock station but less airplay and probably not "World Turning", "Go Your Own Way", "Stand Back", "Edge Of Seventeen", or "Stop Dragging My Heart Around". Christine's "Got A Hold On Me" still gets played.

Department stores, grocery stores, or elevators......SKY'S(IES) THE LIMIT!

This is for Tulsa, OK and since I only listen to the classic rock station here, it may not be completely accurate. I know another station in town plays Edge quite a bit.

Often...

GYOW, The Chain, GDW, Don't Stop, Second Hand News(!), Sara, Dreams, Rhiannon, Gypsy

On Occasion...

Landslide, NGBA, YMLF, SYLM, Hold Me

Rarely...

Over My Head, Tusk, Oh Well (Live), Stop Draggin'

wondergirl9847 09-02-2003 11:28 AM

Hmm....

Frequently:

Say You Love Me
Landslide (Dance version always)
The Chain (Dance version)
Don't Stop
Gold Dust Woman (they play this ALL the time on my classic rock station)

Sometimes:

Go Your Own Way
Rhiannon
Dreams
Edge of 17
Say You Will
Peacekeeper

Rarely:

Got a Hold on Me
Trouble
Gypsy
Silver Springs (Heard it in Wal Mart once, Dance version...also heard it in Albertsons once)
Stand Back

ONCE:

Sara (Heard this in a lil tiny hole in the wall shop in Gatlinburg, Tennessee on vacation once. LOL)
The Chain (Rumours version heard it in KMart once)

On this lil station I found not long ago:

As Long As You Follow
Say You Love Me
Little Lies
Peacekeeper (SOLO VERSION!!!!!!!!)
Go Your Own Way (PLAYING RIGHT NOW!! LMAO!!!!!)

I just brought something like this up over in the Christine thread.

On our store sattelite radio, they play a LOT of Christine Songs. Not really a lot, just frequently. It's always these same ones:

Think About Me
Warm Ways
Say You Love Me
Over My Head
Don't Stop
You Make Lovin' Fun
Hold Me
Everywhere
Little Lies
I'm The One
As Long As You Follow

As far as non-Christine songs, they don't play them as much but here's the usuals

Dreams
Landslide
Rhiannon
Go Your Own Way
Second Hand News
Never Going Back Again
Gypsy (which is just as much as any Christine song)

They've been playing Say You Will a lot lately too. It came on the other night and my boss was like "What the hell is THIS sh!t?"

As far as our local classic rock radio stations, Go Your Own Way, Gold Dust Woman, and Don't Stop are the only songs I ever hear. Once in a blue moon I hear Say You Love Me or The Chain. You'd think those were the only two albums they ever put out around this neck of the woods.
