i hope nobody bids on these illegally obtained front row fan club seats.

Is JT doing anything about it? Don't make me laugh! Dollars to doughnuts it's him or one of his groupies. My advice would be to not worry your about the scalper(s); they aren't going to stop and JT won't, and can't, make him stop, he could care less. As long as JT has money coming in from some poor schlep who unwittingly joined the scam club, he's content with himself. :)

That minionofnothing dude sells good tickets for a LOT of other bands, check out his other auctions. I think he's either a hacker or a Ticketmaster employee. And it's entirely possible that he's in cahoots (sp?) with JT.

Not the first time...

tickets like that have showed up...I saw a pair in person that a fellow Fleetwood Mac OKC concert-goer traded a eBayer for, And they were indeed "Fan Club Sale" tickets.

At least she was able to trade to get front row, But makes ya wonder dont it???

If Im not mistaken "Pix" (who posts on this board) is one of the Administrators on Mick's board, so you could ask them. I think its Trinity but not sure. Ive asked but gotten no reply, however did see one of their posts signed "trin".

estranged4life 08-14-2003 04:22 PM

Has anyone...

checked to see if any other front row tickets are for sale on yahoo's auction site?

I noticed some tickets the other night, But I didnt check to see if they are front row seats...

Brian j.

update-I checked yahoo auctions and there's an auction for 6th row center for the Sept 12 Knoxville show...$399-$450

lol. i bought 6th row center after the fan club presale on tickets.com for 85 bucks. whoever pays that much.. bless their hearts- they werent hard to get.

Livia 08-14-2003 05:20 PM

One way to stop him is to email anyone who bids on these to allow themselves to get outbid since 99% of the time, seats in the first 5 rows will pop up a few days before the show and they can get them at face value if they are willing to wait.
;)

I can't beLIEVE how much he's asking for these! Outrageous!

gldstwmn 08-14-2003 05:38 PM

$1295 is absolutely ridiculous. Isn't there a law forbidding them from charging over a certain amount? I hope no one buys these.

EBay has a FAQ regarding this stuff. Basically, some states regulate the resale of tickets from venues within their state (EBay has a list of these states and their respective laws/limits).

However, this whole "ticket broker" deal is soooo shady....

How this dude gets all these tickets is beyond me, especially considering he's (supposedly) in Canada. Years ago, I was at a Tower Records in the Valley waiting for Stevie tix to go on sale. The guy in front was buying dozens of tickets for a special John Fogerty show at the House of Blues and it was SO obviously the cashier was in on it and/or getting a kick-back.

I think all this ticket broker crap should be completely banned and regulated in some form. It's just criminal.

gypsysara 08-14-2003 06:33 PM

How amusing to me at least whenever I bring up good ol "Pix" aka Trinity, "Pix" deleted their thread.

AT LEAST YOU CANT KICK ME OFF THIS BOARD TRINITY!:wavey:

This lessens my resolve that anything will ever be done about the fan club. Somebody knows what's going on here. This makes me sick!

What ever happened to that fan, OKlandslide, or something. Didn't he/she say they got front row fan club tickets off eBay and the person at their local box office verified no front row fan club tickets were ever offered for that show. What ever happened with that? I think it was a lady. Didn't she say her daughter also got ripped off by the fan club?

Didn't she say she talked to people at the fan club and they were nice at first. They wanted to see the tickets with fan club printed on them, but after they did then they ignored her? Now she's stopped posting to this board. Hmmm?

Another paid off fan club member bites the dust?

Maybe she won some Egyptian Jewelry?

It's all an inside job but nobody gives a ****. If all these corporations, CEOs, CFOs and board members can get away with robbing American stockholders, pensioneers, workers, and get away with it, why should FM or their people give a **** about fan club members getting the shaft? Small potatoes.:distress:

flyfirefly 08-14-2003 11:43 PM

The aforementioned 'Trin' is just a board moderator at Mick's Chat, it's not like he's doing any sort of investigation into anything. There's no use in jumping on anyone's case though.

Seems as though some of you are a little paranoid. It's not like scalping is a new idea....

gypsysara 08-15-2003 12:39 PM

Well I feel personally slighted by the Administrators over at Mick's board.

They set these "rules" where you wernt supposed to post copyrighted material. Yet, the Admins themselves DO IT EACH WEEK with their "Photo of the week" crap they were doing.

I brought this up on my one and only post and they banned me for bringing up the fact THEY WERE BREAKING THEIR OWN RULES.

So you know, sorry if it upsets anyone, but I feel it stinks Pix / Trinity & Co. did that to me, along with others, and I will darn well bring it up when I can.
