Song with the Best Harmonies

What Mac song do you think has the best harmonies?

My vote would go to The Farmers Daughter from the Live album. The first time I heard it, I was blown away.

My second choice would be Beautiful Child. That one sends chills. "I bite my lip..." Fabulous.

The original studio version of "Rhiannon" has some goosebump making harmonies.

I agree about "Farmer's Daughter", but the vocals on that are "studio enhanced", not really a "live" performance.

Chris' "Love Shines".

"Caught In The Rain" (the oooh's & ahhh's)

And a few from Mystery To Me:

The first five songs ("Hypnotized" in particular) plus "Miles Away", "Somebody", "For Your Love" & "Why".

There are so many, harmonies are one of the many things I love about Fleetwood Mac.

I agree with all the songs u said so far but I also love all the different layers on " you can go your own waaaaaaaaaaay"

I also love the way stevie harmonises with Christine on the "your mood is like a circus wheel....." part of over my head from the live album.:D

I know it isnt really a harmony but i love the extra part on YMLF on the rumours DVD during the last part of the song when Lyndsey sings "you-ou-ou".

Say You Love Me

I LOVE the harmonies on Over my head from the live album  Stevie's vocals were even more prominent during the white album tour- on the "going home" doc. I have, Stevie is practically SCREAMING that part and you can barely hear Chris! It's great! Hey, what was she supposed to do, she had all of TWO songs that she sang lead on!

other great harmonies:

Honey Hi
Beautiful Child
EOTW (Live Mirage)

I'm with chiliD- the harmonies on the studio version of Rhiannon are just incredible!

:wavey: adam :wavey:

The chorus of Dreams....wow...!!!!

I Don't Want To Know

The "ooh-la-la-la"'s in the Dance version of Say You Love Me.

I think Lindsey's harmonies on "Thrown Down" are some of the best on the entire album. Especially on the third verse: "You say you're sorry, that you should walk away...but it's so overwhelming, you've got nothing left to say..."

And who could forget "Angel"...amazing harmonies. Especially watching them hammer the parts out on the Tusk doc.

Yeah, I figured as much. It was TOO perfect to have been completely live. :D

But the way their voices blend together in that song...I get chillbumps just thinking about it!

Angel
Thrown Down
Dreams
The Chain (from the Dance)
Hold Me (I love hearing Lindsey & Chris's voices together)
Beautiful Child (Live on the SYW Tour-- their voices together just break my heart)
Silver Springs (from the Dance)
Save Me A Place
Say You Love Me
Rhiannon (from the White album)
I Don't Want to Know
Bleed to Love Her
Steal Your Heart Away
Say Goodbye (Live)

I was gonna agree with BlueGrass that Say You Love me is the first one to come to mind ... but Josh made me remember Angel. That last chorus ... "So I close my eyes softly..." Great harmony!
