The Mac: Bringing peeps together
 

This is a wierd issue to discuss because even though we are living in 2003, it's STILL strange to meet people via the net. This Fleetwood Mac tour is bringing fans together WORLDWIDE and in such a unique way. Has every person who's gone to an FM concert this tour met another Ledgie at the venue? Did you go to a concert WITH a Ledgie or your family/friends?

I've met SO many cool people by way of being an FM fan. There's NO WAY I would have known any of my net friends if not for the Mac and the net to bring us together. I just find the whole experience intriguing and mindboggling. I know I read somewhere on the Ledge that two Ledgies met and got married!! Holy cow!!

I mean, we have all seen Maury Povich or some other shows like it that bring on people who have NEVER met in person go on the show and meet the person they are in love with thanks to the net and then BAM, you know what comes next...the marriage proposal. I was always like "OMG, no way!! Are they NUTS!?!" LOL

Unfortunately, the net brings about bad things too....such as the 12 year old who went to that..was it Marine(?) who had dirty photos of kids on his computer or people who have affairs on the computer which tears families apart.

I'm just thankful to God that I found Lindsey's then FM's music which brought me HERE to make friends and open my life to new experiences (GOING TO LONDON!!!). I feel like it's all part of God's plan for my life, and I'm sure some of ya'll feel the same way.

THANKS FOR THE MUSIC FLEETWOOD MAC....it's really changed my life. :)

Christy~I totally agree with you!!! Everything you said was EXACTLY how i feel:nod: I talk to fans all around the world.
I would love to meet with any ledgies going to the Detroit show on September 17th...:D

Christy, great thread! And it's so true...I was super excited to meet the Ledgies I met in Phoenix, and though bad things do come about because of the net, I was not in any way freaked out or anything to meet these people....it's like we all just share this one common thread (FM) and find other threads that we share through that...does that make sense lol? Anyway...I'm glad I met the people I met in Phoenix, it made my experience that much more memorable...

hey Christy..this is a good thread;) ...I think it's great how many reviews wev'e read where Ledgies have met up and enjoyed each others company, seems like some of these friendships will last a lifetime:)
Makes me wonder if FM really realise there's more to just going to a concert and hearing/seeing them play...we may be a small minority of people( Ledgies as such) but there seems to be a really spirit of genuine comradarie between some of us, which is great .:D
Thanks to FM, I've met one really nice Ledgie in person and hope to meet a whole bunch more in November!

BTW...I read about those two Ledgies who got married too..( weren't they on the Stevie board?)....so where are all the Lindsey board lovers????;)

I have met so many cool people thru the internet and my love of FM! I love it!

I totally agree! I have met so many wonderful people over the years from this board.
I wrote a Dance review here back in 97 and someone named Melissa wrote me back and ever since that day, we have been the greatest of friends, and have visited each other so many times. Harder now since we both live in different states, but I would have never met her if not for the MAC. She is my MAC gal pal whom shares just as much excitement for them as myself. Its so nice when you can have that!
Everyone here is so friendly too its nice. And I so enjoyed meeting a few ledgies at the concerts....great experience!

I am so sorry that I did not know that Jess and Livia were leaving for the Hard Rock, I wanted to meet you all so badly. Maybe next time I will be sure to be there, anyway that I can. I wanted to meet you all so much...

Oh my. Meeting people from the Mac boards and chats is the best!! This has been one of the highlights of my travels. I think that the only place I did not meet anyone was the Vegas show. I had such a great time in Vegas it did not matter.
Phoenix was the best!! I got to meet a lot of nice Ledgies.:D I can't wait to meet even more people.

Yeah..I was like.."awww..there are Ledgies in town that I'm not meeting?" lol...but it's cool...hopefully all our paths will cross again for some other cool Mac thing...:D

That's how I felt after I left the Dallas HRC and felt ill...Bummer! Hopefully I'll meet up with some in Denver...

i'm not policing anyone, but maybe the fact that i managed to notice that this was the 3rd time you bothered mentioning this incident, may hint that i did pay attention the 1st time; if that's not respectable enogh than there's not much i can do.
