The Ledge - My Vegas Review/ Help I am a Macaholic!!

OK if you just want show info go down to Saturday night. If not read on. :laugh:

Friday
I left from Providence on Friday at about 6:40 AM. I arrived in Las Vegas on Friday at around 10:30AM their time. It was a long flight from Providence and I was getting a little restless. The view coming into Vegas was stunning. I got to see the northern rim of the Grand Canyon. It has to be bigger then my wee bitty state of R.I.!
This was my first time out to Vegas and let me tell you it was just beautiful!!! I loved it. I got my luggage (almost fell onto the carousel) and headed out to the hotel shuttle stop. I had booked a package from Southwest Air vacations at AAA and that was a great thing because the vouchers told me exactly where to go. I got on the shuttle and headed to the MGM Grand. WOW that place was hopping. It was full of people checking out. I thought for sure that they would give me a hard time because check-in was at 3PM and it was now only 11AM. I had no problem. They told me to wait about 10 minutes. I just walked around a bit. Sure enough my room was ready by the time I went up there. I freshened up headed downstairs to find something to eat. I found Coyote Grill and I saw blue corn enchiladas on the menu. I knew that would be my choice.
They were actually kind of hard and were not that great but I just gulped them right down cause I was starving.
Then I just headed out on the strip ready to explore it all. I went to Bellagio and Aladdin. It was just so much to take all in and I was exhausted from lots of walking. I came back to the hotel and relaxed a bit. I decided to treat myself to a nice meal and of course a dessert. I made a reservation at Le Cirque in Bellagio. I read that Lindsey did not get into the one in NYC cause he did not have a tie. I figured that maybe he might have one now and might want to try to get in there. Well, I guess not. I did not see anybody from the band there. I did have a great Filet Mignon, however. I was anxious for my chocolate soufflé. It finally arrived. After all that I was not that crazy about it either. Tavern on the Green in NYC has a much better one.
I headed back after a long trolley ride and walked by Studio 54 in MGM. The line to get in was very, very long. I was too tired and I really did not want to go in alone. I headed back to my room and watched a rerun of “Wings” on a cable channel. I know I am a party animal. Meantime I keep checking at the ticket area to see if front floors opened up yet. Nope nothing yet.

Saturday
I got up early and headed down to the breakfast buffet. They had a pretty good variety for breakfast. After that of course I checked the ticket window again. Nothing yet. I headed out on the strip again. I think I spent about an hour just in the M&M World store. I was not that impressed with it. I think that they need to sell more souvenirs with candy. I did get a cute 60’s inspired, totally me t-shirt that says Love and Chocolate. After I headed back out and checked out Paris and at Bellagio I had lunch at Circo. I had the Margherita pizza there and it was kind of salty. I should have stuck with my first choice of Tomato and Mozzarella. I decided to try their soufflé. Well, I just had an odd feeling that it would be the same kind from Le Cirque. Yep, I was right same crappy one but about $2.00 cheaper. I headed out to Ceasers Palace. That was nice but I did not spend too much time there. I did pop into the Celine Dion store, however. I really do not care for her but I had to try her perfume that was in the window. I have to say that it was not too bad. I wasn’t crazy about but it was OK. It reminded me a little of Tresor from Lancome. Sorry, I am a girlie girl. LOL. I then headed back to my hotel room to rest and then get ready to head down to the arena.

Saturday Night
I went downstairs at about 6PM. OK I just had to check the ticket window out of curiosity Please keep in mind that I had a ticket already. I ask and sure enough 2nd row near Lindsey is available. I just stand at the desk frozen. Should I or shouldn’t I? All of a sudden my hand goes into my bag to grab one of my credit cards. “I’ll take it”. I just heard come out of my voice. I now can’t believe that I have 2nd row and an extra ticket that is way too much $$. I could not resist it. I know that it was bad but I can’t help myself.. I did not even try to sell the other one for a discount. I was afraid that I would be arrested for scalping and miss the show. I go back up to my hotel room and hide my camera in my bag. I go back downstairs and go though the security. The wand picks up my camera. I had a male guard and he says to me. Do you have any cameras? I say no but I have a cell phone and lots of change. He says ok no knives right? I say nope not today. LOL I get in with it.
I go sit in my seat and it is pretty good not as near the side as I thought. The security guard was very nice but he was right in front of me. I did not even take out my camera. To be honest I was just too lazy and tired to even take photos. The lights seemed to dim early at this show. About 10 minutes later the crickets start. I was on my feet from The Chain to Goodbye Baby. There were lots of empty seats in the first and second rows. Someone asked if they could move up and the guard says no I am sure that those seats are taken the show is sold out. A matter of fact the guard made Taku stop walking through the front row. He asked if he was in the band and said I am sorry but the supervisor wants no one in the front unless they have a ticket. Needless to say I did not bother to rush up to the stage. I was hoping to get close to Lindsey but I did not.
Lindsey seemed a little less friendly tonight. Maybe he lost at the casino. He did not smile that much. After about 3 songs the girl sitting next to me moved down to the empty seats and said to me come on. So I got more to the middle of the stage. She sat for all of the new songs as did most of the crowd. There was kind of a lively, rowdy bunch on the other side of the stage that Stevie and Lindsey acknowledged. About 3 quarters of the way into the show Lindsey looks right at me with a very serious look on his face. He then looks down at his guitar and laughs to himself with a kind of insane look. He would make eye contact with me and then look away. I don’t know I guess he must have figured out that I am just a tease. LOL
OK I danced my big behind off in Vegas. Why not right? It’s called Sin City and I don’t know anyone. I started out with Gold Dust Woman. As soon as I heard that drum beat I was movin and shakin. LOL. I was surprised that nobody told me to sit. They did not and I think they thought it was a hoot to see such an enthusiastic fan.
Stevie was smiling all night. She started out with the boots and halfway the Reeboks came on. Landslide was great. Stevie went in back of Lindsey and put her hands on his shoulders. From my angle you could just see her sexy red nails as she tapped on his shoulders. You could not see her but on the large screen you could see her eyes peaking over his shoulder. It was very cool. At one point they both held there hands up like they were doing a high five. They held them there for a while and it looked like they were exchanging energy. Lindsey then kissed her forehead. They were really into each other at this show. During Tusk Lindsey did the same old thing. Stevie shook her head no but was receptive of her “tusking”. She had a big old smile on her face. At one point they held hands and swung around like they were going to square dance or something. That was new to me. During the very beginning of Tusk I was dancing and I could see Stevie looking over at me. She had a shocked/amused kind of look on her face. OK I really think that she was trying hard not to laugh at me. Stevie really seemed like she wanted to interact and shake hands with people. I don’t think that she was physically able to do it. I can’t remember if she twirled during Stand Back because someone had to leave the aisle at the time and I had to move my death trap of a purse.
Lindsey signed a few autographs but it kind of seemed like a chore to him tonight. I was going to get my ticket out but before I could he said to the guy in front of me “after this that’s it”. That’s OK I would rather get something worthwhile signed then just a ticket. Well, that’s all I can remember about the show for now. I then headed for food at Ricardo’s.

Sunday
Got up thanks to a wake up call. It was Howie Mandel! Ok it was just a recording but it was funny and unexpected. I had breakfast at the buffet. You know what? I got strange looks as I ate a piece of chocolate cream pie at 8AM in the morning. Do I care? NO this is Sin City remember. Got all my stuff together and checked out and got the airport shuttle. I encountered rude airport security in Vegas. In all of my travels so far this year I have not had a bad experience until then.
I got in to Providence and hour late due to the storms that were over the Chicago area. That was not too bad. I had a great trip and can’t wait to go back to Vegas again with or without the Mac. Of course I am going to see the Mac again.
