'Say You Will' alternate mixes CD on eBay
|
It is probably a different mix from the DVD-A. I have seen a center channel mix doing the rounds that is quite different then the released version of Say You Will on either normal CD or the DVD-A version
|
I've seen a couple of mp3s floating around that are labeled as unmixed and alt. versions. I saw two different ones for Illume and two for RTTG on WinMX. Then I saw one for Destiny Rules and WTWCT but they were all queued. :( If I ever download them, I'll let you know. :)

The www.buckinghamnicks.net site currently has what they described as SYW outtakes posted.

Well, the item has been removed. I really was interested in hearing those versions of EFO. The only "alternates" that I have heard are the GOS demos and the extras from the TISL sessions. Has anyone heard any of the other versions? |

That's ridiculous, and downright greedy, IMO. Hopefully this will start circulating within the fan community soon. |

Mac items disappearing from eBay...
There have been several Mac-related items that have had their auctions cancelled on eBay recently:
1) Stevie Nicks DVD video collection 1979-2001 -- the bid was up to $30, then eBay cancelled the auction. I was one of the bidders and received an e-mail from the seller wanting to sell it directly to me for $45 plus shipping. 2) Fleetwood Mac Tusk Documentary DVD -- supposedly an "official" Brazilian release (like the Mirage concert DVDs). The auction had about 3 hours before it was due to close, and it suddenly disappeared with a message from eBay saying the item "no longer exists in our database". 3) Fleetwood Mac Say You Will Tour DVD -- live from Greenville (I think). This one disappeared about a day before the auction was due to end -- but I was only watching the auction, not bidding, so I don't know the details. 4) Now, the Say You Will Alt Mixes CD has disappeared... Do you think the Band has someone watching eBay and leaning on the management to nix (pun intended ; ) auctions that they don't like? It just seems to me that all 4 of these within a week or so is a little more than coincidence. Also, today I found a Mac SYW Philadelphia DVD listed under Stevie's name -- no mention that it was a Mac concert at all until you read the item description. Think someone is trying to "hide" it there to keep the auction from being shut down? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...&category=1467 |
Well although I havent done so in a long time... I used to report people all the time on eBay for selling bootlegs if I felt they were *really* taking advantage of the fans. Im not talking the whole $12.95 for an (IMO) pretty good audience copy of an 03 'Mac show (which one seller is selling continually as of late). Im talking the people who prey and take good advantage and charge $30 - $50 for a BOOTLEG item that costs them $1.00 to make. IMO $12.95 was reasonable, although $5.00 would be *wonderful*. Or even better yet, offer it here on a B&P (as I will do if I successfully record my upcoming mac-isms). This one guy peeved me off. He was selling copies of Stevie's demo Sanctuary at $50.00 per. I bought one, and he demanded my home address ( we use an alternative address). I wouldnt, he left me negative FB. So, I started to report him. Flame me if you will. He was taking advantage.
