Expanded & Remastered reissues delayed until October
I found this in the archives at MusicTAP, dated June 26th:
"The Fleetwood Mac Expanded and Remastered Series reissues (Tusk, Rumours, and Fleetwood Mac) have bumped into October. The dates will be posted in a few days or so." I have to admit that I'm disappointed by yet another delay involving a Fleetwood Mac product, but I'm trying to look on the bright-side of things, and assume that this will afford Rhino/Warner Bros. the chance to make these discs the absolute best they can be. |
Oh no, not again. First June, then August, now October. I'm getting very impatient about this. Hopefully, this will happen in October. Thanks for posting, Johnny Stew.:)

Thanks Johnny Stew, yeah I'm remaining positive about this as well in that October seems like the time labels like to get the Christmas season releases out so I'd like to think this buys them enough time to make sure they're ready for then. I know it's a scary thought that if they get delayed in Oct, then it would probably be next spring they'd put them out but they must know that if they want to cash in on whatever momentum there is from the SYW hype then October has GOT to be the time. :)

Christmas Presents!!!! Yeah!!! I am liking the sound of that...I love when I have something Macish to look forward to on Christmas day.

No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I know I am not going to have money until then anyway. You know what though, this means that we are going to get Buckingham/Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, Rumours, Tusk, and the new Christine album all towards the end of the year.
I'm happy again! :) |
Well, I guess I can look at it this way. I will have more time to save the money to buy all those remastered cds, so maybe I can purchase them all at once! :D Still, it is annoying to continue to put things off. It isn't like it a new cd, where there are setback. The cds are there and ready; they just have to be reworked. Rhino has done this enough time they ought to know exactly how long it take, and they should have been able to give us a definite time.

If I recall correctly, the members of a music group (or their estate) must all give the green-light to the final product, when a record company wants to release anything that involves previously unavailable material, or new mixes/remasterings of previously released music. So I'm thinking now that the delay is probably just to buy them enough time for Mick, John, Christine, Lindsey & Stevie, to each sit down and listen to the remasterings, and any additional material, and then give their "OK." |
