Question about Brazilian release Mirage tour DVD
 

Hi,
New here at the Ledge, but I have a quick question I was wondering if anyone knew the answer to. I have been seeing DVDs on ebay that claim to be Brazilian official releases of the Mirage tour that will play on US DVD players. However, the photo on the cover that is shown seems to be from the Behind the Mask album. Does anyone know if this release is the real thing or not? Thanks!

I wondered the same thing... I emailed the sellers and asked what was up...were they aware that they had the wrong pics on the dvd? and they emailed that maybe but, no one had complained...so then I went and chose the one with the best remarks, and best shipping time and ordered and got it. I am not disappointed. If this ever gets released remastered and so forth in the US I will buy it but, I am not disappointed and it was worth the 10 or 12 that I paid for it. Nice man mailing it also. One guy blames the Brazilian authorities for slow shipping and I avoided him.

whats the quality of it like? My vid is very old and the quality deteriorates more by the day, Im considering buying the DVD but only if the quality is anywhere near as good an official DVD release.:wavey:

well, I can't say that it is as good as what we hope to get one day that is remastered, etc. It is good, though, and worth the money. YOu can get it off of eBay for like 10.00 and that is not bad. I am sure that the official dvd will cost much more. The colors in it are superior, the sound is decent, and the pic is good. But, you gotta know that the crispness and sharpness that will be on the official one will be better. I was like you, my vhs was deteriorated and I knew it was not good for many more plays.

Im still waiting for mine, but when it gets here I will let you know.

The quality is fine...and mine better than my 20 year-old VHS copy. These Brazilian DVDs are direct copies from the Laser Disc version that came out inthe 80s. Good picture and sound... Worth $10 definitely!

An illegal foreign bootlegged DVD has absolutely no connection or bearing on an official US release.
