Just my Luck
I know most of you don't want to hear this. I have NEVER been to a Mac concert, and when '97 came around, I knew I'd never have a chance. I always wished I could see them, and practically new (now I know just THOUGHT) I would never see them. We called for ticks on the first day they were on sale, and I get stuck in the 200's. I know I should be happy I am going but, I wish I could get floor seats at least.
:distress: |
I'm going to two shows and both are in the 200 section and I'm very very happy with them!

But it's so far, away.
I mean, and another reason we called on day one. They practically ripped us. |
Hi Chain, I've always gotten crummy seats because I used the call on the first day method. After again getting crummy seats to the TISL Boston concert, I learned from the Board:
1) Concert venues always sell lots of crummy seats the first day to fill an arena/stadium day and hold back most of the good seats. 2) to wait until the week before the concert because good seats are released by TM (why?? maybe season ticket holders or brokers who have deals to return unsold good seats at crazy $$, and just general greediness in this biz, who knows?) 3) go to box office early the day of the concert, more good seats are released then and you can turn around and sell your crummy seats at FACE VALUE to a casual fan. 4) and if you really need front floor seats, pay the $$$ and go with a ticket broker. so I did #2 and finally for the first time, got decent seats!!! It took quite a lot of patience on this devoted fans part but it worked. I'm in ROW 4, 1st tier!!! I also pulled up floor seats in the middle on the Ticketmaster website online but opted for my final tickets 'cause I'm a little to old to fight it out on the floor  |
You should have joined The Fan Club!
Your seats would be even FURTHER away, but you could rent the special fan club seat binnoculars for $25.00. (This is why fan club members are angry, btw. They joined to get "good seats" and are sitting in the same area as you.)
Seriously The Chain, if you have been reading the reviews here, fans are lucking out by ticketmaster turning out the best seats at the last minute. Keep watching. Also you might find fans here trading up and putting their tickets on sale at face value here. (some fans buy tickets and later purchase from brokers). You must have more time yet, so keep watching. You can always trade or sell your original tickets. Depending on how much you are willing to pay, there are several brokers on line that you can purchase from. And there's always eBay. Keep looking! |
