What Lindsey song would you sing?

This is based on a thread in the Stevie forum by SeventhWonder.

Whether in some sort of cover band, at karaoke, or perhaps just while under the influence of alcohol, what Lindsey song would you song/try to sing? :D

Keep in mind, it's no good if you just like the song - you need to be able to actually sing it! For instance, as much as I love GYOW, NGBA, Come, Down On Rodeo, Book of Love... I think the choruses are probably way to high for me! :distress:

So my vote is I Know I'm Not Wrong!

Which Lindsey song would you dare to belt out?:wavey:

LOL

Hmmm....well, being a chick, my vocal register and sound would make ALL the difference in choosing the perfect song...so...I would say Monday Morning for a FM song and either Soul Drifter or Peacekeeper!!

LindseyRocks 02-23-2003 07:28 AM

hmmm

"Save Me A Place" is the main one that comes to mind for me right now, as it's the only one I've ever tried to sing (learned it once years ago). But it would not really be my favorite pick to sing if I could choose one.

Let's see - other ones I think I could pull off (in my own voice, of course):

I like Christy's choice quite a bit - "Soul Drifter", as well as "You Do Or You Don't"

Also, it would be fun to do an version of "Slow Dancing"...but I would probably try experiementing with it a bit - perhaps an acoustic version or something of that nature

I have sang Go Your Own Way quite a few times on the karaoke it's the only Lindsey song they have, it sounds bad when I sing it but anything I sing sounds bad so people have come to expect that.

I would like to sing Never Going Back Again, I think I might be able to screech along to that.

I was gonna go with that one too basically because it has no long guitar solo, and I wouldn't look like an idiot playing air guitar on the karaoke stage.

although i can't sing, and my english is terrible i'd go for very underestimated songs i really care about a lot: given thing or the ledge...

Holiday Road

For kareoke, you gotta let it all hang out. So I'd belt out Holiday Road!

"HOLIDAY ROOOOOOOOOOAD! HOLIDAY ROOOOOOOAD!!"

Now all I need is a barking dog.

"Family Man"

j/k

To my voice range... I don't think anything except for "Go Your Own Way" possibly could suite me. That one, and "Blue Letter", but then that's it. Then it goes too 'to the top' ("Big Love") or too 'to the bottom' ("Tusk"). The man has a great voice.

Hmm, if I were to do a karaoke version of "Holiday Road," I imagine finding a barking dog shouldn't be too difficult!
And I'd bet a howling dog would be even easier to find!

In cover bands, I've done:

Blue Letter
GYOW
Trouble
NGBA
Not That Funny/I Know I'm Not Wrong (as a medley)
Tusk
Save Me A Place

LB songs that I can, and do sing:

Go Insane '97
Save Me A Place
I'm So Afraid (but with the human vocal range of '97...not the '70s versions...they're nuts!)
Tusk
Go Your Own Way

LB songs that I'd love to be able to sing, but it just ain't gonna happen!

Big Love '97
Never Going Back Again

The jump from the verse to the chorus is just waaay too much for me, especially on NGBA. I can sing it if I play the song with no capo, but capo'd on the 4th like on the album version is impossible (for me!).
