Christine on Radio 2 UK
Johnnie Walker at the end of his UK radio show on Sunday, said Christine Mcvie would be joining him on Sunday 7th February..for a chat.
Johnnie Walker’s show, even in this weird time, is a live show. I’ve just looked at Radio 2 website and it does advertise that Christine would be joining Johnnie for a “very rare and exclusive interview”.. So, I’m presuming it’s just that, and not some old rehashed interview. Johnnie Walker sound of the Seventies is on Radio 2 at 3pm..on Sunday. It’s a pretty good show in any case....as the name implies, he plays all 70s music. |

I just notices it's nearly 2 hrs!! :]
I could listen to her all day. Whereas $tevie, I shut it off after 2 minutes. |

But the show itself is pretty good, he goes back a long way... Worked for the BBC back in the 60s |

I once read somewhere that Christine and Dennis Wilson had made an album’s worth of demos. It’s probably apocryphal but maybe she’ll talk about THAT.

It would be amazing if Brian Wilson produced it. |

The interview was about 20/25 minutes but Johnnie did play 3 songs.
The only interesting ie new thing ... She was asked if they would tour again....she wasn’t sure, she said she was getting too old. And JOhn would NOT be touring again as he was getting too frail. She did add he was okay, just getting old. |
Thank you, sue. It's so kind of you to report back to us.
I'm so sad to hear about John. I hope he enjoys his life; he deserves it. Now I believe I know why he didn't participate in the 2020 Green celebration. |

So he must be okay......and maybe he doesn’t want to tour( he doesn’t need the money or the limelight) |
sue, you didn't let us know that Never Going Back is Christine's ringtone:laugh: That is so funny. Christine with a FM ringtone:D

Back in 2014, we went to see Fleetwood Mac, and she had the biggest smile seeing someone her age still able to do it. We’ve been very lucky to have had them this long. |
She did not rule out touring again but is iffy. No John is sad but she said definitely not Stevie so I would love to see the Mac without Stevie and sad without John. But you are talking 2022 at the earliest and I think she will be too old.
I think Stevie will do a farewell solo tour and Lindsey will definitely solo tour again. She sounded a little under the weather and getting really old. |
My favorite aunt is Christine's age, and I often look at her, imagining her doing what Christine does. She still gets around just fine, but it's hard to imagine anyone being that age, and being on stage, and being "on your game"(Mick Jagger is a freak, and doesn't count).

If John’s not touring again, then I doubt Christine will tour. Her loyalty is to Fleetwood and McVie. (I used to think it was also to Buckingham but the last tour changed all that.)
Without John onstage, the one thread of continuity is gone. The rhythm section that Christine and John were so proudly a part of is done. I would, however, love to hear one more Christine album. I know it might be greedy or unrealistic, but I’m confident she could still write, play, and sing in the studio... |

It’s sad that the 2014-2015 had to be such an drawn out tour. In a perfect world they would of split those couple of years with Christine between shows and a record. They certainly could have, but with the Nicks issue it wasn’t meant to be.
I’ll never forget being at the Pittsburgh show and hearing that entire arena go crazy when Christine sang the first line of “You Make Loving Fun”. That was truly a magical moment in time. In the end we did get Buckingham McVie and for those two it has to be a really lovely thing to have accomplished, to now realize it could potentially be their last collaboration. If anything, I hope those two have made amends more than anything. |

Yeah all that buzz around the 2019 tour evaporated before it even ended. I’ve said it a million times, the fact that they scorched earth over another pointless greatest hits tour...so dumb..
I remember thinking to myself about a month before music cares. “They’ll f*ck this up. Some way, some how...somebody will say something etc. Boy, they didn’t disappoint as usual. |

i bet that Chris and Linds are talking now too, not just Linds and Mick. i wouldn't mind another BuckVie album. considering that everyone's in quarantine anyway, now is as good time as any to work on it! |

I'd LOVE another album though. BuckVie was Mirage 2. I'm ready for Mirage 3! |

Instead...it was merely a great record that got some nice press. |
