Hi all! After many years of lurking I decided to jump in. Very excited to be a part of this forum - particularly at such an exciting time for the Mac and its members! :blob2:

Hello all

It appears this is a vibrant site with extensive know-ledge about FM. Although I have not followed FM closely over the years, I have always enjoyed listening to their music beginning with FM 1975 and of course Rumours. Since I was already a big fan of the Eagles and also Led Zeppelin, The Who and being from the Midwest, REO Speedwagon in the early 70's, I didn't fully appreciate FM when they came along. The Eagles and FM via SN were more closely linked than I was aware of at the time. Anyway, I was ecstatic to learn about CM rejoining the band and announcement of the On with the Show tour. I'm looking forward to seeing them live for the very first time in Indy in Oct. Better late than never!

Hello everyone!

My name is Felix, I'm 25 years old and I'm from Germany!
I discovered FM last year (I know that was late and I'm shocked too ;) ), but I'm so thankful for that because I loooove their songs.

I already bought lots of vinyl of FM and Stevie as well as some CDs. Can't get enough.

I'm happy to join this board, because this seems to be a great place for FM fans.

Hi All,
Been a huge Mac fan since my parents played Tango in the Night to death in the car when I was a kid. Still cant get my head around the indifferent feeling there seems to be towards Tango by many on these boards- for me its the ultimate album. Looking forward to contributing to the Ledge having visited off and on for a while now. A guess Christine is my fave; the likes of Why, Come a Little Bit Closer and Wish You Were Here are just epic.

I agree with you about Tango. I think it is sort of the '80s version of Rumours- it's such a tight, polished album with lots of cohesion & high quality songs. Like Rumours, I think the quality of the music was born out of the absolute chaos going on while the album was being recorded. This band seems to make the best music when the sky is falling down upon their heads.

Glad to hear you like Wish You Were Here, too. I think it's a highly unappreciated ballad. Welcome aboard! :wavey:

I agree with Come A Little Bit Closer and Wish You Were Here. I also grew with some TITN songs. The first FM songs I heard were Everywhere, Little Lies and Big Love.
Hi and welcome, FuzzyPlum!!
Regards,
Mark.
