Lindsey has complimented Christine!

I thought you might like to know that Lindsey said something nice about Christine in an interview published on PalmBeachCoast.com on March 7, 2007:

Q: It's interesting that Under the Skin was recorded while on your last tour with Fleetwood Mac. Did you have to constantly put yourself in a different head space between the band work and working on the album, or did it all flow together?
A: It all flows together. That show was also a lot of fun for me, again, because I had had a lot of changes in my life. (On the tour) we missed Christine (McVie, who left the band) a great deal.

I wonder if he has ever told her that.

Blimey! that's a turn up.

I thought her songs didn't work too well live or were not emotionally incisive

Honk my hooter. Sounds like he has a heart after all...

Wait a minute.;)

Here's what he said in that interview after he said they missed her a great deal.

"But since there was space, with just two writers up there, there was room to flex my muscles. There was a little more testosterone up on stage, if you will. That translated into being a little more myself in context of me."

He's still on that testosterone kick.

He doesn't half rattle on about testosterone.

"a little more myself in context of me" - what?

"That translated into being a little more myself in context of me"

wtf?

This is self-absorption squared. "if you will."

Yes, Lindsey, the classy English tea lady was sapping your man-juice.

Why does Lindsey always try to sound all smart and use big words that he doesn't really know the meaning of? Learn to write good lyrics like Chris can, and use the English language properly, then we'll chat, k Linds?

I never took it as he dissed her during SYW. I mean they all talked about her absence and the reasons for it, but he was never like thank goodness that talentless slag is gone, etc. I have always gotten the impression her liked her and respected her talent.

I don't know, I was never really satisfied with what the band members said were her reasons for moving on! Lindsey and Mick got defensive and John and Stevie made it her problem. I still don't understand why Chris left.

From the SYW Documentary:
Mick: Like anyone else she deserves to do what she wants, you know...etc
Lindsey: Chris is somewhere over in England, she's just not part of this etc.
Stevie: If there was a chance she would come back we would have waited!
John: If she were here it would cast a terrible poll over this...I wish I weren't here vibe!

Ok So none of those are the reasons she dropped out. They are all explanations of her not being there. John gave the best reason, that she would be unhappy if she were there, but why? No one ever said.

because she was tired of being in Fleetwood Mac... not really personal... just needed to retire... physically and mentally from the band...

nothing worse than having someone do something that doesn't want to...

bad vibes for sure

Am I missing something? I always thought Lindsey and Christine were cool with each other? Or he knew she could kick his ass so he gave her some respect?

I think there was always a great of mutual respect it's just that Lindsey has been quoted as saying some disrespectful things about Chris.

Her songs don't work too well live and they are not emotionally incisive.

And he does go on just a bit too much about the extra freedom he now has.

I think he has been defensive about Chris's absence and he he over compensated on SYW. All of which leads me to believe that deep down he knows how much they miss her, he just can't bring himself to say it.

^^^ I was talking to an older lady tonight(while Dixie Chick's Landslide was playing on the jukebox). She told me that she saw SYW in Indy, and how much they were lacking, without Chris. "It's just not the same, without her". Indeed.

No prompting on my part, whatsoever.
