I just bought The Hunger (1983) with Susan Surrandon and David Bowie. Haven't watched it yet, but I will soon. Anyone else see it?

Good to hear! I see the critics are giving it mixed reviews... but I'm sure I'll enjoy it regardless :D

Oh man, The Hunger. Haven't seen it in years, but now I wanna dig it out and watch it, just for the sheer amount of amazing contained therein - you get Bowie, Catherine Deneuve, Cliff De Young, Susan Sarandon, Bauhaus, and even Willem Dafoe all wrapped up in one spectacularly mediocre but glamorous looking vampire flick. A+!

Classic film. Style over substance, but worth every moment watching.

Recently watched:

Coco Before Chanel - Audrey Tautou is always fascinating to watch, but the film is somewhat uneven and mediocre.

Paraiso Travel - Gripping story (based on an equally riveting novel) of a Columbian illegal immigrant in New York. Flipping from the streets of NY and the journey to get there will have you on the edge of your seat.

The Box

I wanted to see this when it first came out, but I had read bad reviews, so decided to wait until it came out on video. So, we rented it last weekend and really enjoyed it. It was like an episode of Twilight Zone - feature length.

Snatch.

Of course, I had to rewind every thirty seconds in order to finally understand what Brad Pitt and everyone else was saying!

Must have been the remake. It was just released on DVD.

Hachi: A Dog's Tale
They actually make rated "G" movies!
It was okay. If you like dogs you'll probably
like it more than I did.

Yeah!

I think it took me about 3 hours to watch the movie, with all the rewinding!

I liked the ending, though, so it was worth it.

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof -I never get tired of this movie. Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor were sinfully hot.
