Christine in My Dream

I figured I'd share this with this community. I had a dream last night that featured Christine. She knew she was dying (not within days, but perhaps months) and was having a gathering at a small house that was essentially a listening and viewing party of some of her music. I was invited along with a couple dozen other people. I assumed she was going to play just the popular songs and hits, so just before the music started, I kindly asked if she would please play just one previously unreleased track. She gave me this knowing smile and didn't answer me directly.

She had an assistant helping with the actual mechanics of playing everything. When the music started, it was virtually all rare and unreleased music, including many collaborations with largely unknown artists and some musical styles you'd never imagine her having anything to do with. For example, one song was a bit of an alternative/experimental/New Romantic-type track (think 80s Depeche Mode). She wasn't the main artist on the song but was providing some vocals.

At one point they started a video and I recognized the outfit she was wearing in it -- it was from the Love Will Show Us How music video. I thought it was a behind-the-scenes/making-of video of the making of that music video. It wasn't. It was a bit behind-the-scenes, but it was another completely unreleased song that could have fit on her 1984 album.

It was a fun dream.

Thanks for sharing. Really cool. I used to dream about Chris about once per year even in the days after Time and she sort of disappeared. Later when she rejoined I thought maybe the dreams were a premonition she would return. The dream was always the same. She was on her 1984 solo tour but it was not the place that I saw her. I was current age. It all was that strange dream stuff that does not make sense. I just remember being excited to see her show again. I have not had her in a dream for about 2 years now. But it was always a good dream when I had it probably 10 times in my life. In the 90s I think I may have even met her in the dream or she saw me from the stage.

I loved reading about your dream. Now if you could only remember the songs you heard in your dream and play them for us!! So many times I have dreamed of new Stevie songs that do not exist. If only I could remember them! We both need to be hypnotized.

I loved reading your dream and PDB’s. In your dream, do you remember experiencing her show? And if so, was it different than the real one you saw?

This reminds me of a time about 20 years ago, months before anything related to In The Meantime was announced, I dreamed that Chris released a new solo album. I thought, “Nice dream, too bad it’ll never happen,” and then lo and behold it happened! The album cover in the dream even looked similar to the real one, with a photo of her in front of some greenery. For a while after that I was convinced my dreams had psychic powers.

Other than that I can only remember one other dream she showed up in, which I wrote about in another thread on here sometime last year before she passed. She was sitting by herself in a Chinese restaurant in downtown Los Angeles. Mick, John, Stevie, and Lindsey were supposed to meet her there, but she didn’t seem surprised that they were all running late. She was content to start eating without them and had ordered some egg rolls. Now I’m wondering if the restaurant was a symbol for the afterlife or something.

I’m so happy you shared and that she is on our brains. This is how she remains in our lives….xoxT
