We look beyond just the ‘usual supects’ who top polls, and bring you the guitarists who really made a difference, plus some relatively new kids on the six-string block.

It’s great seeing Lindsey get a little love. But these magazines are so hokey — you never know what coverage is being engineered behind the scenes by managers or labels to grease a new album. My hunch is that there isn’t much independent journalism anymore in the rock press, no more Christgaus or Greil Marcuses, probably, just some phony “reappraisals” of guys like Lindsey, whom the authentic critics always valued.

Here's the part about Lindsey. No need to ask Mick about Lindsey's work. It is in fact flaultless.
