Rhino or Reprise?

I'm a bit confused. On cdnow.com it has the VBOFM cd as a release by Rhino records.Amazon still has the label blank. Any ideas?

Hi there,

The recent articles on Launch.com, and Billboard.com, both mention Reprise as the record company involved with the release.
Also, the full-page ad in the back of the September 7th issue of Billboard (which was posted here, if you're interested in seeing it), has the Reprise logo on the bottom left-hand corner.

Not sure why CDNow has Rhino listed.

interesting...

amazon.com now also has it listed as RHINO.....maybe they are doing a double thing like Rhino/Reprise

That *is* odd!
None of the press releases so far, or the Billboard ad, have mentioned anything about this being a joint release between Reprise and Rhino, but I suppose anything is possible.

If it is a co-release... I wonder what that means?
Will we see those remastered CDs sooner than we hope?

Hmmm.

The only thing I can think of is that maybe because they would be using material from "back catalog" FM albums and apparently "back catalog" material falls under Rhino's jurisdiction (according to David May at WB), Rhino might have needed to be involved in some way with the production of the discs or whatever but who knows.

All I know is that since it does appear from these latest reports as though the new album will be on Reprise, nothing will happen with the remasters since Rhino says they won't remaster the FM back catalog until FM are with a label other than WB/Reprise or any associated lables. Aw shucks! :)

It's Rhino....trust me.....Rhino is handling the package.
