Love to Fleetwood Mac

For me, Fleetwood Mac has always been about Mick, John, and Christine (see signature). Those three were really there from the beginning (with Christine, albeit, just a session player early on). From "Love That Burns" really through "Carnival Begin," they gave the music a feel, a groove that was unique to them that really defines this band. Whenever those three are together, all is right with the world.

This has been one of my absolute favorite bands for nearly 35 years or so (yikes). I love at least something from all of their albums and really wish they'd make one with the current lineup.

My mom was not quite a year older than Christine. She passed away in early March of this year. We used to go to Fleetwood Mac shows from Behind the Mask through 2014. She'd had a stroke or two by the 2014 show, but the look on her face when she saw Christine up there rocking out...Gooseflesh. She always felt a solidarity with Christine whenever we saw them.

Anyway, I'm feeling pretty sentimental about my mom and about Fleetwood Mac tonight. I really hope we get to see them one more time. I'm not holding my breath, and I have great memories, but it would still be great to see them one more time.

Those are good memories with your mother, Steve. I hope you get to see Christine again.

The more I hear about 2014, the more I wish I had managed to see that tour, as it sounds like Christine was sort of at the top of her game relative to later outings. I never have (and likely never will) see her perform live.

2014 was the last gig I saw them. And yes, it was very emotional to see her back, and she performed great.
