Thank You Ms Moose

People go crazy comparing things

I guess it is human nature

"An Immortal Bandleader was asked what is good music?"

He said: "If it sounds good , it is good!

I have always believed that.

Some players have produced more good things than others.

So what?

Some music becomes more tiresome than others, some you just can't get enough of

Peter's music is one of the latter types for me

These discussions about "Who Is The Best" seems futile because we like different things in music. And if we don't know exactly what we are comparing, it becomes a "god-dag mand -økseskaft" discussion (hope you have this expression in norwegian as well), I don't know how to translate it into english.
Great guitar playing is not about "chops" to me, but it might be to someone else. What exactly is "chops"?

I agree with you on 4) taste! It is not longhaired at all. Maybe there is more....

I agree with those sentiments, Ms Moose.
By the way, the expression is "god dag yxskaft" in Swedish :)

This expression is used to explain when two people are unable to communicate with each other because they don't talk about the same thing but believe thay are. One asks a question the other one answers.

Directly translated the words are:

"Nice day, Man - Axehandle".

It's one of those expressions that are impossible to translate really. It is also impossible to write the "sound" (for me anyway). I promised never to do that again!!!
