Girl Names

What are some of your favorites?

Chrislit18 07-04-2008 07:12 PM

I love way more girl names than guy names.

Dylan is good for a girl.
I suddenly have a like for the name Arden.
Stephanie is nice.
Audrey, and Elizabeth are two of my other favorites. :)

My step-granddaughter's name is Madison. Her mother is worried now that since it's such a popular name, every other girl in her class will be a Madison. I like the name.

I, on the other hand, never had that problem. When I was growing up, the popular names were Donna & Kathy. My real first name is Babette. (I use my middle name on this board.) But don't ever name your kid that. I always got teased when I was growing up. Parents don't ever think of that. Oh course now though, people say it's a pretty name though still I don't think so.

Lee :)

I think a girls name should generally end in a vowel. Makes it so pretty to hear and say.

Well I chose Rhiannon and Cory for my two. Before I found out I was having a boy I had chosen Isabella as a girls name. Ironically Mike and his new woman have a baby due next week which will be called Isabella

sasja 07-06-2008 12:21 AM

do you have some news Jannie? :D

Sasja Rebecca was my choice. Ofcourse now we have Quinlan Nathaniel and Kian Yehuda instead and are done so I am throwing the name back out into the namepool :D

The Catdancer 07-06-2008 12:27 AM

I've always loved Shannon.

BTW Sasja: Brenda is coming over a visit in September. Remember her? :wavey:

Steviefan49 07-06-2008 11:51 AM

Well, I've always loved "Erin" for a girl's name, and Ian for a boy's name. I think they are both really pretty. Is there something you are out to tell us, any announcements in the wind??? :blob1:
