I overheard two musicians talking about it yesterday. I didn't even speak up(I've always been a little embarrassed by my fandom), but made a mental note to look into it when I got home.

These better not be punk rock versions of Christine's songs! :D

Honestly, I was shocked when I heard there was a tribute. I mean, she didn't spin around like an idiot, or blather on like some self absorbed fool. People seem to like that idiotic behavior.
I always kind of liked it, that I got it..... while everyone else was chasing the drunken, spinning sailor.

I'm shocked that Mick hasn't organized some sort of Christine tribute, similar to what he did for Peter Green.

He probably doesn't think it'll be enough money for him.

If there is, there better be more than Sheryl Crow, Nancy Wilson, and Neil Finn.

I'd want to see a broader spectrum of artists...

The tribute to peter was actually arranged and performed before he died, not after.

I kind of think Chris's death is not something he would want to cash in on. i mean, we know how mick is, but still....

I think the impetus for the Peter Green tribute actually started as that reunion Mick wanted of the original lineup that Peter decided against like twelve years prior. I think it gradually evolved from there.

I think a tribute show for Christine would be much more difficult. It’s easy to find white guys to play blues rock. It’s easy to do a Peter Green tribute that focuses on all all but a few Peter Green songs from the early Fleetwood Mac.

It’s more challenging to find enough people who could convincingly sing Christine’s brand of soulful Anglo American pop or to keep it from becoming a tribute to the Rumours band.
