New Stevie poem

on Taylor Swift's new album Tortured Poets Department there's a poem by Stevie in her handwriting and typed out...

Sept 13
8:50 P.M.

He was in love with her
Or at least she thought so
She was broken hearted
Maybe he was too
Neither of them knew.
She was way too hot to handle
He was way too high to try
He couldn't even see her
He wouldn't open his eyes
She was on her way to the stars
He didn't say goodbye

She looked back from her future
And shed a few tears
He looked into his past
And actually felt fear.
For both of them
The answers-- would never be
Everclear
Don't ask questions now
Do that later
She brings joy
He brings Shakespeare
It's almost a tragedy
Says she
Don't endanger me
Don't endanger me.

He really can't answer her
He's afraid of her
He's hiding from her
And he knows -- that he's
hurting her
She tells the truth
She writes about it
She's an informer
He's an x-lover
There's nothing there for her
She's already gone
There's nothing that
can stop her

She was just flying
Thru the clouds
Where he saw her...
She was just making her way--
to the stars
When he lost her...

For T ~
and me....

I'm going to say this is about Joe?

I think the Show Them The Way lyrics are better. Perhaps that and this poem will be sung next month in Charlotte.

I know, right?! But she never will because it's the only life she's ever known.

I'm not trying to pretend that this poem is particularly profound, but why is this a sign that she needs to retire? She'll probably gain some younger listeners from being prominently featured in the artwork of an album that is going to sell a gazillion copies.

Do you know if she sings on the album? I don't like Taylor Swift's music so I haven't listened to this album, but I'd listen to a song with Stevie.

Wouldn't it be amazing if she released her own new music for these younger listeners to enjoy rather than Edge of Seventeen and Stand Back?!

Truest words ever written. She never got a real life. "Being Stevie" is all she's got. It's sad, really.

Stevie doesn't sing on the album but Taylor mentions her by name in the song "Clara Bow."

And of course the poem Stevie wrote during a break on her 2023 Tour which appears in the Jewel Case of the CD I believe.

I guess this all started when Stevie mentioned Taylor's song "You're On Your Own Kid" comforting her in her grieving of Christine.

Stevie fought her way into another stars career. So calculating. Totally untrustworthy.

This. "Totally untrustworthy," opportunistic, and GROSS.
