I meant I can't turn on the sound while I'm at work. Open office. ;) Look forward to hearing! I'll be first in line at Record Store Days. :)

When I search on the RSD site, it says the only stores in my area that could have it are Newbury Comics but I called them and they say they won't have it at any of their locations. Anyone know of somewhere else in/around MA that will have it? I don't want to miss out/pay a fortune on ebay later etc. and it doesn't look like the RDS site themselves will sell it. I don't need it on vinyl, CD is OK with me. Help?

John

Well it does appear from everything I have read that it is only available on a limited release of 1000 vinyl.

Or maybe anywhere else in the world? I'd settle for CD as well, my record player is out of use nowadays.

I haven't had a record player for 20 years. As much as I want this album, it would be pointless to buy on vinyl :(

I looked at 3 stores. They weren't carrying it. And the lines were so long, I missed 3 Stooges matinee show. :(

wetcamelfood 04-21-2012 10:31 AM

I can't find it either. Help? Someone? Anyone? Bueller?

John

Yes!

I found it here:

http://www.jr.com/product/music/pm/_2195216/

Although it says "1 disc" the tracklisting is the same for the 2LP version which seems to be available (as of this posting anyway) here:

So not sure if it's as a CD at JR's but I'm just glad I was able to buy it right away and at a reasonable price.

Now Jeremy, Boston area show please. :)

I went out to two of our local record stores here in South Jersey, “Tunes” (mainly used CDs & vinyl) and luckily was able to pick up the two disc vinyl addition – the cost was double what the CD will cost, but it is a beautiful package, and it is so nice to have something to hold and read (without squinting) while listening to the music – though I am not an audiophile, I also just prefer the sound of vinyl over CDs -
I had forgotten just how heavy vinyl could be – wouldn’t think I could forget after all the times I moved my own and my girlfriend’s (now wife) record collections when we were younger from one apartment to the next -
As John said, I do hope that Spencer and company will tour the States – at least the East Coast – album’s the twelve inch surface just seems incomplete without a signature…

Do we have a release date for cd/iTunes?

I wish we did. I didn't even know it was going to be coming out on CD (glad to hear it is, but since we just kept hearing about the vinyl, I thought I'd better try to get it before it's too late rather than assume it would be on CD then it isn't and I'm stuck). Did you see the CD edition in the store BklynBlue? Did it have the same tracklisting?

John
