You get to make TWO rules that the band MUST follow.

What are they?

(Just to make this difficult, please list only two, plus one runner-up.)

Mine:
1) You must not perform the same set (or wear the same clothes!) two shows in a row, and neglected songs (and new looks) should be showcased more.
2) You must develop a fan club that supports the fans who support you.
Runner-up: You must release an album (or leak demos, or send Stevie to my place with new material) every 1-3 years.

- Jake

chiliD 05-04-2003 01:15 AM

1) The same lineup cannot release more than two albums consecutively

2) The set must include one song from each album (taken from Major League Baseball's All-Star game rule that there must be one player represented from each team)

runner up: Just as Playboy magazine tries to hide its rabbit logo on every cover, the penguin MUST appear in ever increasingly difficult to find places on every album cover.

LilyRose 05-04-2003 03:36 AM

1) Band members must continue to have affairs within the band. This includes back-up singers/musicians.

2) Mick Fleetwood and John McVie are never to allow Stevie Nicks or Lindsey Buckingham to leave the band ever again.

Runner up: Stevie must wear another color other than black at least every other night.

Jake, I like your first rule about setlists and wardrobe.

Here are mine:
1)Stevie, Mick, and John cannot appear on the same album together unless Lindsey is also on it (and not just with a guest appearance)
2)Drop either Dreams or Rhiannon from the setlist permanently.

1. Fire SN & LB and get replacements (I'd look forward to their solo stuff though :) ).

2. Once a member leaves the band, they cannot return under any circumstances no matter who they are.

JMHO though :)

John

DownOnRodeo 05-04-2003 09:04 AM

1. They have to enjoy themselves on tour in the States so that..
2. ... they definitely come to Australia for the SYW tour, and that...
3. ... they definitely follow up with an album, finally bringing Down On Rodeo, Shuffle Riff, Mistaken Love, and others, to light.
4. I'm meant to stop now aren't I :D

FiercestCalmSea 05-04-2003 09:32 AM

1)"Sara" must be performed at every other show.

2) The band(ok,mostly Stevie) needs to consume a decent amount of alcohol before performing,so that her stage presence is not reduced to just standing there grabbing her skirt all night.(oh yea,i would be more than happy to assist her in getting to know Mr.Cuervo on an intimate basis, none of this one shot of tequila to settle her nerves, lol)

runner-up:
Everything resembling the Dress shall be forever banished.

WelshWitchPMD 05-04-2003 10:29 AM

1. Stevie must NEVER, EVER wear the black dress again!!
2. Everyone on the LEDGE must be guaranteed the first 10 rows of any show at face value AND 2 backstage passes free.

go6car 05-04-2003 11:52 AM

1) I want Lindsey & Stevie to get totally pissed off at each other prior to each performance and take it out on each other (musically, of course!) during each live performance for the sole benefit of all of us emotion/drama junkie fans. I'm tired of this new vibe where everyone just sits and sings/plays quietly. If I want that, I'll play the CD. Age is NOT an excuse, nor is having spouse/offspring present. I want LOUD, volitle, explosive and deep-seated emotional outbursts/performances, comlete with looks, innuendo, etc.! If Linds & Stevie can't summon up that depth of feeling, I will humbly offer my super-power regressive hypnosis sessions, free of charge, with the condition I be given all access passes for any shows on the tour. Heck, I'll just join the tour. I'll need some assistants to help me, of course. Anyone?

2) After doing said rule # 1, I want CD-quality live tapings to end up in my stereo so that I can blast full-volume, with last song being Sisters of the Moon (in a live, Mirage-esq kind of way!), where Stevie sounds like she's singing/yelling in Swahelian. Ah, therapy for the soul, LOL!

1. dreams and rhiannon shall not be played unless stevie can absolutely hit the high notes and lindsey agrees to rock out on the guitar solo.. not some cheap ass guitar solo ala Dance-Era rhiannon, either. Ugh.

2. the chain must NEVER be played without all Rumours-Era members on board. WTF gives?

I don't have a runner-up rule yet. Hm.

Cuervo! Blasphemy! Please tell me that Ms. Nicks does not drink that Mexican piss of a tequila. It's Patron Gold, smoother than 12 year old scotch. Whew! I feel better now.

gldstwmn 05-04-2003 04:09 PM

NEW RULES:

1. The setlist must change every night.

2. WE run the fan club.

wondergirl9847 05-04-2003 05:52 PM

My two (plus runner up) rules...

1. Lindsey, Stevie, Mick and John go to England and convince Christine McVie and Danny Kirwan to join them for an album and tour. :D:D:D

2. Justin Guarini opens for FM on that particular tour and I get to kill two birds with one stone!!

(Runner-up): The FM fan club offers tee shirts, autographed photos, keychains, CD's with rare songs and a poster to the members. The fan club only costs 30 bucks and they have contests so that EVERYONE can have a chance at getting tickets, backstage passes and other goodies!!

Janet 05-04-2003 06:04 PM

1. Lindsey must take his girl fans out to drink after each and every show. They will be calm but get to talk to him and just stare at him..whatever.

2. FM ( at least consisting of S/L) must go out every other year until one of them passes.

Miranda 05-04-2003 06:16 PM

1. Lindsey must never again talk about cycles, healing, survival moves, or the masculinity of SYW.

2. Stevie must get a new outfit.

3. Alt--the entire band must admit SYW is the end of the line and they're just in it for the last big money grab.

sparky 05-04-2003 08:26 PM

Just 2 ? Well, in that case, I am going to have to be sweeping in my requests in order to get what I want. I'll sacrifice to realize my goals.

1) No live performances of anything off of Rumours or the White Album.

2) All forthcoming albums to contain all new material. Everything to be written post SYW tour, and written as much as possible with the collaboration of all band members. And BTW, if Stevie's songs are STILL about Lindsey, no spilling the beans. Get another dude to write about already !

Alternate - No drum solos, ever.

stevierocks87 05-04-2003 08:35 PM

1) They must play Sisters of the Moon on the tour (and, if i may, Blue Letter, Tango in the Night, and Seven Wonders ;) )

2) They must re-release all their albums in fully expaned versions to include rare live performances, demos, outtakes, and alt. versions (this includes Buckingham Nicks)

3) alt- Replace the Mick solo with 2 rarely played songs

:wavey: adam :wavey:

That's funny that you say that. I've been over on Mick's board complaining about the fan club on the "Ask the Admin" section. And yet, I've been called "greedy" and "impatient" for asking for "free" stuff after paying the ungawdly price of $79 bucks to look at few pictures and watch a few videos. So not worth it. I hate that place. :)
