What's the best line/lyric on the album?
 

I don't know why, but I love the line in RTTG when Stevie sings "I'm runnin' in brilliant colors" - I love the delivery as well. (This song would make a great video - I see Stevie running toward the camera --- hey, if she can do the treadmaster every day, assuming her hip has healed! --- with all the intensity/rush of the I Can't Wait video and the colors of Every Day.)

Lines I REALLY love:

"There's no truth in my lies
There's no light in my eyes" (a sad thing to think about because his eyes are such a beautiful blue and there's always a light!)

"do you feel the ooze as your brain drains out" (ICKY!! I love it!! LOL)

"you don't belong here, I guess you never did" (Sometimes, I feel that way...)

"that kind of fever dance" (goes along with Come...the word fever...I like it!!)

"love is the sweet surprise" (I have this one scrolling as my screensaver at work)

"think of me sweet darlin', everytime you don't come, can you feel the fever?" (speaks for itself ;) LOL)

"my walls are flaming" ( :eek: ) Goes along with Come. LOL

"and so you run towards what you know is wrong" (we all have, I'm sure..)

"how she takes my breath away" (sigh...)

"I fall down, I get up, and I've always had to fight everything that was wrong, for the things that were right" (this line just ROCKS!!)

Good picks, esp. the older now, flaming walls, and fever dance ones. I'm still getting to know the Lindsey lyrics on SYW, but I think these songs are his most lyrically thoughtful ever.
I find it ironic that Stevie's lyrics are getting easier to understand as she gets older (or are we just getting flakier - ha ha), but now we have all these questions about Lindsey's lyrics.

Well, I don't know what the best lyrics would be. I guess that if it means something to you it will be all the more special. I am going to have to say that the song Destiny Rules does it for me.:)

So many good lyrics, but the ones that really touched me came from "Goodbye Baby":

"It was I who was
The hourglass
And the sands of time like
Shattering glass went past me
Like a tunnel to the sea"

And in a more personal note (beautiful meaning) I like all the "Say Goodbye" song. I think those are my two favorites. My favorite "Say Goodbye" line is on my signature below. :)

I relly like them all (esp. all of Goodbye Baby). But, I have to say the most visual for me is the my walls are flamin line from SAY. Ohh the images that provokes in many interpretations!!!!
