What Would YOU Name The Album?
Just something doofy, to pass the time between new articles, new photos, and new info....
If you were given the chance to name the new album, but you *had* to choose the title of one of the songs it contains... which would you choose? Since a poll only allows 10 options, I went with the songs whose titles seem to be the most likely candidates. Have fun, and play nice! Johnny Stew |
Thanks, JS
Nice work, Johnny Stew.
I still think Peacekeeper is such a timely and substantial title. No fluff. |
I voted for...
Illume. I like it, it's a pretty word like Mirage...and it's mysterious sounding.
Fleetwood Mac's Illume....sounds good, doesn't it? They can avoid speculation about politics by not choosing Peacekeeper, and the rest just sound odd...like Say You Will. LOL Say the FM before all the titles, which one sounds the best to you? Illume sounds the best to me. JMO tho. |
No, I don't feel Peacekeeper is appropriate at all anymore. Especially with the revelation about this missile :distress:
In light of that, and my dislike of Thrown Down as an album title (something negative/violent about it!), I surprised myself by coming around to 'Say You Will'! (Love the one you're with..) |

LOL - definitely NOT 'Say Goodbye'!!! (Arrgrghh!):distress: ;) |
I'd pick "Illume" with "Say You Will" as my second choice.
|
Definitely Ilume
Ilume sounds very Fleetwood Mac, don't you think? All the light and shadow references and metaphors both Lindsey and Stevie have been using in their writing for the last 30 years...it fits. And many of their albums have great one word titles...all of them are open to interpretation and somewhat mysterious. Not that Say You Will isn't good food for thought, Ilume is just better, IMO :D
Having said that, I still would prefer a non-song album title. But I can live with Say You Will. At Least it wasn't "Goodbye Baby" (good thing it's not even an option in the poll). -Sonia |

What's the world coming to? :distress: |
Hmm on deeper reflection then....
"Say You Will Come Running Through the Garden" :woohoo: :blob2: 500 posts! |
I would have named it
Buckingham Nicks |

Because i want the album to be as tensed and adventurous as tusk, I voted for "Come". Short, strong, dirty, rocknroll.

SAY WHAT?

Sadly that seems to be less the case today. Maybe you weren't around in the sixties. I'm not ashamed to admit that I was. Back then, musicians tried to get us out of a very stupid war (they're all stupid) in Vietnam. They tried to help the world see how &%$#-ed up our government was. Well, there are powerful parallels at work today. I stick with Peacekeeper as my choice. |
Say You Will
I think Fleetwood Mac made the right choice! ;) For the record I'd pick Illume second.

I would have made it a reference to "Goodbye Baby" AKA "The Tower" and they should call it "The Tower" on the album. I think if the album is popular, this cut could be a new classic for Stevie in the way the "Landslide" is a classic. It is so poetic and it can
be related to the WTC tradgedy: " And when you hold yourself and know that There were two... Now only you remain... You'll close your eyes and travel back... Through the time when the light went fading fast... And the words you'll never, never forget.... As I slipped away... Goodbye, baby... Goodbye, baby... Goodbye, baby..." I would call it "Words You'll Never Forget", but what do I know. |

HEY.....don't make me change my mind!! :D Joe :wavey: |
i picked "come" cuz it sounds dirty and i'm a perv.
nah.. i dunno.. i like the one word titles. i liked peacekeeper.. but i understand their reasoning in not wanting to use it. ppl would think they were gettin all political, i guess. anyway. i like one word titles and i think "come" is better than "illume." Sarah |
Name The Album???
:wavey: Do we get a Prize???
How about... GOING in CYCLES!!!;) or... Reprise of The Mac Machine! or...Here's Buckingham/Nicks!!!:D Seriously...Twist of Fate is good as it was a twist of fate that got them together again! April 15th! Wow! Sky:) |
I went with...
"What's The World Coming To"...Brian J.
|
I voted for Say You Will. I just like it...it fits them, IMO. But then I read Christy's post, about Illume, lol....and I wanna change my vote! It does sorta just seem to fit right in with the rest of them, esp. Rumours and Mirage. Oh well, I still *like* Say You Will, lol!

I chose Thrown Down~never heard the song~ I just like the title.
It's hard to pick a title when I haven't heard ALL of the music yet:confused: N.:) |

So I went with "Peacekeeper"...which would have been so risky, but so right! :wavey: :wavey: :wavey: |
