Our Dream 2003 Setlist!
Hi Ledgies,
With the tour rehearsals sure to be starting within the next few months, I thought we should try something that the fans of the Heart message board did before their summer tour started. What we did was each post what our dream setlist would be for them to perform during the tour. Heart received the results and even acknowledged at some of the shows that many of the songs added to the setlist were thanks to the fans from the message board. So I figured we could do the same. When it looks as though everyone has posted what their ideal setlist would be, we could then send the results to FM. We could do this by posting the results on their official message boards as well as mailing it to Stevie, Lindsey, and Mick's official sites. The way I see it is during the Dance tour, 26 songs were performed at the shows. Now, Stevie has said in the past that she and FM never like to do more than 6 new songs. So let's say that 26 songs will be performed with 6 being new ones. That leaves 20 old songs for us to put on our dream setlist (be kind of realistic in choosing them~~i.e. Don't pick only Stevie or only Lindsey songs - LOL.) OK Ledgies, I'll quit rambling. Let's really get this thread going. You never know, some of the members of FM might just read it as it goes along. Brett Remember - pick 20 old songs. Here is my dream list: 6 new songs plus in no particular order... What Makes You Think You're the One Sara I'm So Afraid Seven Wonders Bleed To Love Her Silver Springs Tusk Gypsy Crystal Angel The Chain Rhiannon Monday Morning Sisters of the Moon Go Your Own Way Gold Dust Woman Dreams Never Going Back Again Landslide Save Me A Place |
Here's my setlist, he he.

Why not?
We kinda did this in a different way on the Mick board ,but I'm game:
Sara I'm So Afraid Silver Springs That's Enough for Me Gypsy Angel The Chain Monday Morning Sisters of the Moon Go Your Own Way Gold Dust Woman Never Going Back Again Landslide Frozen Love Crystal Second Hand News Blue Letter Don't Let Me Down Again Oh Well Fireflies |
Wow, that's weird. I didn't mean to have those crazy smilies jumping around in that demented way. But I like it :] :] :]
|
Here's my twenty (no particular order):
Sara Sisters of the Moon Storms Crystal That's Alright Crying in the Night Django/Races Are Run Gold Dust Woman Gypsy Frozen Love Save Me A Place Think About Me Tango in the Night Bleed to Love Her Walk A Thin Line Green Manalishi Surrender the Rain Twisted Never Going Back Again That's All For Everyone |
Hey, look ma, no hands:
:] :] :] :] :] :] |
For the most part, revamp the "war horse heavy" set list...except for the bare minimum of "necessary to play" ones (i.e. first five, last five & Rhiannon as an encore). Yeah, there's more than 20, but they'll PLAY more than 20 (or they'd BETTER play more than 20, that is)
The Chain Dreams Oh Well You Make Loving Fun (Lindsey lead vocal) Gold Dust Woman Murrow Thrown Down Twist Of Fate (insert new Stevie tune here) Steal Your Heart Away Red Rover stage change for acoustic set She Smiled Sweetly Twisted Down On Rodeo Gypsy (AHI type arrangement) Lola (My Love) change back to electric I Don't Want To Know Long Distance Winner Don't Let Me Down Again Silver Springs Gift Of Screws (insert new Stevie tune here) Not That Funny Sisters Of The Moon Tusk Don't Stop (Lindsey lead vocal) Go Your Own Way (encores) Rhiannon Gotta Get Away Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You Say Goodbye |
Since I don't know for sure what tunes will be on the new album I am gunna pick 20 old songs. I'll try to as realistic as possible.
Oh and these are in no particular order.. Crystal - Fleetwood Mac album way Blue Letter Second Hand News Landslide Silver Springs Gold Dust Woman Rhiannon I'm So Afraid Dreams Go Your Own Way Twisted Frozen Love Long Distance Winner Dont Let Me Down Again What Makes You Think You're The One Not That Funny Angel Sisters of the Moon Storms Gypsy This is hard, I am not even done with my wish list but I left it at 20. I hope this works! |

I know it's hard for them to do new songs live - the casual fans don't seem to care for them - but it would be great for all of us hardcore fans. And Joe - opening with Frozen Love! :blob1: Very cool idea! Can you imagine what an incredible night that would be? Mike B. |

Song of the moment - Blow By Blow |
ok, let's try
I'm not too sure about which GOS songs Lindsey should perform, so I'll just leave the spaces... As for the 20 "old" songs,
Monday Morning Dreams Oh Well Rhiannon Lindsey's new song Stevie's new song I Don't Want To Know I'm So Afraid Gold Dust Woman Lindsey's new song Stevie's new song Angel Book Of Love Gypsy I'm So Afraid Acoustic set Lindsey's new song Never Going Back Again Landslide Big Love Crystal Return to electric Silver Springs Second Hand News Fireflies Tusk Go Your Own Way Don't Stop (Lindsey on lead vocals) Sisters Of The Moon Twisted Song of the moment - Blow By Blow |
I'll just do the acoustic set....
Big Love Never Going Back Again Say Goodbye Landslide Red Rover |
Oh Well Part Two
I Don't Want To Know World Turning Landslide Storms Blue Letter Not That Funny Gypsy Seven Wonders Red Rover (Full band) ---------------------- LB solo set Big Love Django (Capoed on the 4th, and therefore leading straight into) Go Insane ---------------------- Oh Well Part One The Chain Gold Dust Woman I'm So Afraid Sara Never Going Back Again (Full band) ----------------------- Come Sisters Of The Moon ----------------------- That's 22 songs but I also included 2 new LB songs so it is in effect 20 songs!:) :wavey: :wavey: :wavey: |
Big Love/Go Insane
I like these songs, but I hope Lindsey doesn't do them one after the other all by himself again. Been there, done that. He probably will, though, since he was doing it as recently as AHI 2001.
Personally, I think all non-FM songs should be dropped - No Stand Back, no Go Insane. |

Nancy, I totally agree about Stand Back. And I *would* agree about Go Insane......But have you ever seen Lindsey sing that song live? OMG! I had to include it. I had to. Seeing him up there, by himself, sweat rolling....*whew*. I had to. lol!:D ~Angela~:wavey: |

Wow!! That is all I can say.
Don't fight, it makes you both look tactless! |
Pleaaaaaassseee Don't Fight!
Guys,
Please don't fight. You're making my Smilie sad. I started this thread for us to start getting excited about the tour...not to fight. Also, remember---there have been rumours that the band reads the posts sometimes...and they might just read this one to see what the fans wanna hear. If they do, you don't want them to see you guys fighting. And my God, isn't there enough fightin in the world right now? Let's have peace and enjoy each other here. Wishing you all peace, love, and happiness Brett:D :D :D |
ya!
I agree, come on guys and grow up, your fighting is pointless! (sorry to sound so harsh :) ) Now, back to the original topic in this GREAT thead  Here is my setlist, in no particular order, excluding the new songs....
The Chain Monday Morning Blue Letter Crystal Sisters of the Moon Storms or Beautiful Child (Beautiful Child is my personal fav., but storms is more likely) Angel Never Going Back Again Fireflies Gold Dust Woman That's Alright Gypsy Silver Springs Sweet Girl Go Insane Sorcerer (both singing, like that killer early demo) Big Love (electric) Tango In the Night Seven Wonders or Welcome to the Room...Sara (ya right , i know :p ) I'm So Afraid hmmm..... Looks like Stevie has more songs that Lindsey, sorry about that! I don't really expect it to be like that ;) Does anyone else agree that TITN would make a killer opener? Even though Christine is no longer with the group, wouldn't it be great to hear those non "hit" songs live again, like Love in Store and Over and Over? oh well...... Thats it for now! :wavey: Adam :wavey: |
another observation, it seems we ALL are dying to hear Sisters of the Moon! That is probably the song I want to hear most- It's definently in my top 3 Stevie songs. Come on SOTM!!!!!
So we make our choices, when their is no choice, we listen to their voices, and we ignore our own voice...and when the people who gather around you, do you remember that they are the most cruel? And when they ask, could you be my sister, brother, sister, brother...and you say NO BABY!!!! easlkjgashfltvtautvlavntlalawaweu!!!!!!!!!!! I just love the ending on the mirage version!!! And your right stevie, why do we listen to everyone else instead of our own inner voice??? :wavey: adam :wavey: |
I appreciate the anti-fighting sentiment, especially since I was merely defending myself. But let me ask: How many of you would have taken those insults without responding?
|
oh i'm sorry i didn't mean to insult you... i was just asking a question as to whether or not you are a dumbass... really i didn't mean any harm... honest :) but then you insulted my intelligence so i got angry. end of story. hee hee sorry for the misunderstanding! if you don't want to answer my first question then ok... i'll let it drop :) have a nice evening!
|
I wouldn't have taken abuse like that CV. That sort of stuff is for emails and PMs, not thread messages. End of story. Let's all be friendly. :] :]
Anyway, My tour list :- Opening with : Big Love (electric) Monday Morning Thrown Down Gold Dust Woman I'm So Afraid Gypsy Acoustic set : Go Insane Save Me a Place Down On Rodeo Beautiful Child I Miss You Tango In the Night Murrow Frozen Love Silver Springs Go Your Own Way Tusk Encore : The Chain Sisters Of The Moon Say Goodbye That's what I would like to see. :wavey: |
I don't really care what they play because it will be good. However If I had my WAY (Wishful thinking at best) My list would go as follows in this order
The Chain Dreams Seven Wonders New Song New Song Gold Dust Woman Acoustic set I'm So Afraid Big Love Go Insane Landslide New Song New Song Bleed To Love Her Second Hand News Gypsy Silver Springs New Song Frozen Love Think About Me New Song Oh Well Stop Messin Around Monday Morning Sweet Girl Rhiannon Go Your Own Way Encores Tusk My Little Demon Twisted Touched By An Angel Sara As Long as they play Silver Springs I will be happy. Ok Mac fans,
You asked for it so here´s my dream set list, insert 6 or more new tracks in no particular order: Fireflies (please do this one it´s been criminally overlooked for over twenty years!!) Eyes Of The World Silver Springs What Makes You Think You´re The One Storms Second Hand News Angel Save Me A Place Twisted Sorcerer Frozen Love The Ledge Beautiful Child Walk A Thin Line Gypsy Blue Letter Sara I´m So Afraid Sisters Of The Moon Over & Over (I want to hear them do at least one Christine song, this is my favourite! The Farmer´s Daughter So Lindsey, Stevie, John & Mick, please take these songs chosen by us true fans into serious consideration!! |
I want them to play all the big hits. I don't want to hear anything new or weird or goofy. Here's what I'd like to hear:
1. The Chain 2. Dreams 3. Rhiannon 4. Go Your Own Way 5. Landslide 6. Big Love 7. Stand Back 8. Tusk 9. Dreams 10. Rhiannon encore: 11. Go Your Own Way encore: 12. Tusk I think the best place to sit is about halfway back, out of the mob, & off to the far right -- at least at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre because the exit is to the right & this allows you to light out at top speed before the mob does. I hope Brett Tuggle plays keyboards & guitar. Or switches with Sharon Celani. |
I'm going to respond only with what is left after the songs that I know they WILL do, which are:
Stevie: Landslide (will probably close the show), Rhiannon, Dreams, Gold Dust Woman, Silver Springs, Gypsy Lindsey: I'm So Afraid, Second Hand News, Go Your Own Way, Tusk, Big Love Also, The Chain...so that leaves 8 songs: Long Distance Winner Welcome to the Room...Sara Sweet Girl Sisters or Angel Tango in the Night Monday Morning Don't Let Me Down Again Twisted If I could pick just one song for them to do, it would be Twisted, the soundtrack version. |
Here is my 2003 dream set list in no particular order:
