New Album Title
If naming the new Studio album was left up to you?...
|
I would call it Twist of Fate because if they never did the reunion or it didn't go well.. we would not even be looking forward to a new cd. :p

I think i've said this before:
Better Late than Never :) |
I've got a couple of great ideas for a title:
1. Slopping the Hogs 2. With Love & Thanks to the Cats at Warner-Reprise 3. Oh, This Is Futile 4. The Decline & Fall of Edward Gibbon 5. McVie's Outta Here |

I'm sure chiliD or David can back me up here... I recall it being announced in 1990, that Fleetwood Mac's new album would be called 'Twist Of Fate'... but obviously it was released under the title 'Behind The Mask.'
Then in 1994, the title given for the band's upcoming album was 'Another Link In The Chain'... but, of course, it was released as 'Time' in 1995. Given the fact that Stevie and Lindsey have renewed their musical partnership, and are working together again... and given the fact that Fleetwood Mac will be releasing their first album without Christine McVie in 30+ years, either title would actually be pretty appropriate for the 2003 release. I want to see FM come up with something NEW!!!!!
No old titles that were never used, nothing generic like "Twist of Fate" or "Better late than never". And certainly NOTHING that even remotely mentions "Chain..." in the title. The Rumours references have been over used to death (again with the crystal ball on the cover for the best of album). These people are some of the most creative people who have ever graced our earth. Its time for something new and brilliant! |
Mac attack ;)
or 'Gate and garden', with the lead single being a reworking of 'Gate and garden' ;););) or more seriously Link of chains |
I would call it Hey, I'm Walking Here! Can it be very long before they are all sitting on a bus to Florida with some gigolo in a cowboy hat (maybe Madonna in her new yee-haw look) while a Harry Nilsson song plays?

My only problem with the title Full Circle, and this REALLY pisses me off, is that BoysIIMen named their new album that, and it would SEEM not too creative to name the new album that so close after Boys's release. I love the title Full Circle for FM's new album, and it's so much more fitting for them. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying BoysIIMen STOLE or COPIED the title, I just found it really annoying that I wanted FM to name the album that and Boys did it first, and now it wouldn't seem as good if FM's new album was Full Circle. I've been trying to think of a good title, but I don't really like most of mine. The ones I threw around were Too Long Gone, Dawning of the New Age, and Back to the Road. I kind of like Another Link in the Chain, or One More Link in the Chain...but I REALLY wanted it to be Full Circle and now it just doesn't seem as appealing. But, as long as the title fits the work and concept of the album (if this is going to BE a concept album), I'll be happy. I hate randomly named albums, the one that comes to mind is N'Sync's Celebrity. Now there might be a reason behind them naming it that, but I don't know what it is. Even Sheryl's new album C'mon C'mon I feel could have been named better -- I heard she originally wanted to call it Songs for the Waiting Room but found it too morbid...but I think that title would have been better. Oh well, just as long as they release the album, I'm happy. :wavey:

I'd go with "Twist Of Fate." Cause it makes sense. No one would expect them to reunite after what LIndsey said about the other members in '92. Plus, I bet the song "Twist of Fate" will be on there. So, it makes sense.

'Twist of Fate'.....This one is actually starting to grow on me.....It works!!!
