Favorite Stevie caught on film moment
 

I know this one has been done before, b/c I think thinkI hvae started it in the past...lol...but I love discussing it....what is your fave Stevie on film moment? It can be either a produced video, or just one of those crazy rare backstage bootleg deals....

Mine is a crazy backstage bootleg deal....it is the Wildheart clip....where she is sitting getting her make-up done backstage somewhere and music start playing to what I think is EYES OF THE WORLD....and Stevie hops in and just starts singing Wild Heart with Lori along to the music....she looks so cute and sounds beautiful just improvising along to the music.....a total free spirit!! Gotta love it....I think I've watched this clip a hundred times!

Oh I love that clip too!!! Absolutely one of my favourites! I also like the clip of Stevie doing her ballet practise....boy was she flexible!

My favorites are the film of her performing with Welch at Cal Jam 2 from March 1978 at Ontario Motor Speedway & some film shot of her doing "Rhiannon" at the US Festival in September 1982 in San Bernardino that was shown on one of those half-hour "news" entertainment shows back in the early 1980s. I think it was "Eye on LA." It showed the band members being driven to the US Festival stage in golf carts. I saw the US Festival in person the day Fleetwood played, but it was so swelteringly hot & the mob was so big that it wasn't very enjoyable. It played much better on TV.

I also have to cite her appearances with Fleetwood Mac on the Midnight Special in the 1970s: four great songs altogether but my favorite is probably "World Turning."

I haven't seen any of the things you mentioned David! They sound good though....

well, i love just about everything from the Rumours Japan Backstage thing........lol, like when Mick is taking pictures of her, and she leans against this wall and says "ya know, mick, i hope your film like.....doesn't develope.......ya know........like......doesn't....develope!" and when Lindsey is complaining about going to an interview or a photoshoot or something (i never really caught what it was) and he's saying how he's hungry, and you hear Stevie in the backround saying "i made you an omlette lindsey!!" and he says "i don't want an omlette i want french food!!!!"......and there's about a million others......but i'm too lazy to type them all out,lol.

i love this! and linds sounds like such a baby whinning about not wanting to do the interview. he's like, "oooooh i don't wanna" (i think that's what it was) it's disgusting :laugh: omg, i had no idea stevie yelled that to him. i need to look at that again lol!

I love GDW from the Japan video! The way she covers her head with her arms, and just totally gets into the song...love it!

I LOVE the look on her face on the Dance "Landover" video...at the end of GYOW...after Lindsey plants that kiss right on her mouth! LMAO!! That look is priceless!:nod: :laugh: :nod:

Okay...and the Landover video again...Silver Springs. The whole song. Oh, and Landslide, too. The "SnL dynamic"--captured!

One of my favorite clips is from the Rolling Stone Photoshoot. She is standing there letting them take the pictures of her and they are listening to the radio. The Rolling Stones "Beast of Burden" comes on and I love the way Stevie just belts it out! Another favorite is the Rumours Japan backstage stuff.. just watching her do her makeup and interact with Robin was pretty cool!

Oh, and there are a couple of moments from the Mirage video. The first is when she runs onto the stage to do Gypsy... it's just too cute! And then at the end with all the stuffed animals... :D

I haven't seen any of the clips you guys are talking about..and OMG ..would I love to!! I went to the Wild Heart Affair and on one of the sidescreens of the stage they were playing clips from videos, etc. that we have all seen but then they played a very long clip of Stevie in a dressing room somewhere w/ Lori & Sharon as she's got some curlers in her hair and blowdrying her hair and staring in the mirror and slowly and very distractedly applying random bits of make-up (I would guess she was way coked out). I sat there staring and totally forgot what was going on on the stage (far less interesting than this clip) and just thought "oooh-I almost feel like she wouldn't like us watching this, but of course I could not stop. {just like the clip "don't fu*k w/ my people I got from AudioGalaxy...she's pretty messy/ it's not very flattering and not the Stevie we love/ but yet I listen to it -intrigued by her dark side.

lol...yes, it is!! Even my husband laughs everytime I make him watch it with me! :laugh: And Laura, I always wondered if maybe the reason Lindsey went up to John and Chris acting silly was so that it wouldn't seem so...obvious!? when he went up to Stevie and kissed her. lmao!

Oh, and I NEED that "Sometimes it's a Bitch" video, LOL!! I've only seen like a split second clip of it...where she falls down. I always wondered if maybe she passed out. It just freaked me out, I mean...she just falls! BAM! Straight to the floor. :eek: :D

Hmm there are so many to choose from...The Rolling Stone shoot where she is eating and she turns around and realizes she is on camera...that is so adorable...and Rhiannon from Japan..where she is screaming "Golden...Emerald....Satin"...when i watched the video i had never seen her sing that before,so i was floored...also on the Wild Heart Tour where she takes the little girl onstage with her..

I thought I had the Rolling Stone photo shoot, then I didn't. I had one tape from the wonderful trading post that got totally destroyed and I could never remember what was on it, I wonder if it was that.

Does anyone know anyone who has this? I need it...very badly. I have about 60 videos so I can totally trade!!!

The WILD HEART song...that was from the Bella Donna time right? Because she's listening to Mirage demos. I love that though...evertime I listen to the demos I love singing like she does for Wild Heart...try it...its fun.

I LOVE her on the Bob Welch special...I think she looks great, sings great and thats her best moment really from that time period!

The Rumours behind the scenes are good---I like the part where Stevie tells Lindsey and Carol Ann where to sit...I can't remember exactly how it goes...but thats cute.

I like Mirage where she grabs the mic and sings Rhiannon ...in the end at the climax...great Stevie moment!

Landover is GREAT!!! I LOVE that video! The entire thing is great. The kisses though...:)

I like the Germany special from 98 where Stevie looks like she wants to eat Lindsey alive hehehhee.

I LOVE her on David Letterman from 98 where she is flirting with him...shes adorable.

I like her interview from 91, I think, where she talks all about Fleetwood Mac...Lindseys moods..drinking...shes really frank and a bit happier from most of her more somber interviews from that time.

I LOVE Hold Me, where they close right in on her face while shes lounging...shows how beautiful she is.

I also LOVE Gypsy...you know the moment...dancing with Lindsey...sigh. She is shaking.

Most of these vids you've been talking about (backstage on the Japan 1977 tour, Rolling Stone photo shoots, the making of 'Gypsy' & 'Big Love,' improved copies of Landover 1975, Mick's wedding to Sara, pie fight with Richard, etc.) were leaked originally by a bootlegger called Devilwoman, whom everyone seemed at one point to know. If she's still in "business," why wouldn't people who have decided to pay for all this stuff (as opposed to getting it free from traders) go right to the source? Videotapes are magnetic tapes & therefore lose audio & video quality the more they're reproduced; each new generation of a tape is a little worse than the "parent" from which it is copied.

I don't mean to actually advertise for Devilwoman (God knows), but if I were going to shell out $20 to $30 for a videotape, I'd want to make sure it's as far up the generational ladder as possible. Why pay for bad quality as long as you can pay for better quality -- if you're set on paying in the first place?

Maybe all of this is a moot point, however. Maybe ol' Devilgal is no longer in business? But she *is* the initial "leaker" of much of this stuff & presumably still has the source tapes.

That is a good point David. Some of these videos are crappy quality anyway and I would definately want as close to to the original as possible.....

Good point David.. but most of the videos that I have gotten either from ebay or those websites are in pretty good condition.. quality-wise. I wouldn't purchase them otherwise.

I love...
-The Japan interview where she's sipping white wine (and it becomes clear that it's not her first glass that day) and answering stupid questions and makes up the word "intrigal." AND the flirting with the roadies part too.

-The making of Gypsy video. She just knows that she's the star of the video and it's so cute how she's got this little diva attitude when they're filming the mirror scene. So cute!

-The "Angel" scene at the piano with Linds in the Tusk documentary. When they burst into this beautiful harmony and she smiles at him while they're singing. AWWWW!:D (but you can tell she's thinking, "Yeah, it does dound good, you $#*@%!)

-The classic 1975 Rhiannon where she throws her arms in the air and shakes her head and stamps her feet as she's belting out the last few notes.

Anyway, I love the part in the Mirage video during Blue Letter when Stevie does that little dance across the whole stage, it's so cute:)

I love during the Rolling Stone photo shoot when she's listening to, I think, Enchanted (I could be wrong) and she says to whoever is on the floor in front of her "see, i always have hope in my songs" And the look on her face is of great pride for that song. I love that. The Rolling Stone shoot is just so funny to me because whenever they would have a break from shooting she was always talking. I mean, she never stopped talking the whole time (however, I usually couldn't hear what she was saying) It was great!!
