Finally he is back. I was worried about his silence cause he was posting frequently until december and then nothing. Let's guess what he meant with I think 2026 is going to be a very good year. :)

"Soon."
Surprised she got Will to do it. |
I saw this this morning. Very pleasantly surprised. Good to see Will too. I checked the left hand and it looks like his wedding ring is on his middle finger. Lol! I hope a new album is coming soon

Wishing Lindsey, and his family a fantastic 2026!:blob2: |
I didn't get the "67" joke. Did something happen in 1959? Is it about a song?
Or is it his age (76) reversed? My grandpa used to answer like that when people asked him his age. |
6 7 is a kid thing. They just like to say it. Not sure what it means. My grandkids say it a lot. It's a joke thing. I guess
|
Happy to see him and his kids; he is though, to be brutally honest, looking a fair bit paunchier sitting in that chair than we've seen him. Listen, we're all getting old, I get it. But I think it also speaks to how much performing those crazy energetic shows kept him svelte.

Why aren't we discussing the term "concept album" that he has used twice now. I'm guessing there will be multiple collaborators... what are we defining as a concept album?
Either way, it's clear an announcement is coming very soon. |
Concept albums. Humm... there were interesting examples like The Wall and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Or even Paradise Theatre. But others like Kilroy Was Here went too far.
Yes, I wonder what Lindsey has in mind. But allow me to be skeptical about the "coming soon" thing. I hope so, but with Lindsey, you never know. |
Here he comments about the re release of BN. Frankly I don't know how the way they both have "evolved in our respective careers and lives" allowed or helped this re release. He also mentions they were beginning to interact again; well those interactions must have been very private, cause we never saw them together in any interview or media post. I think he just said kind words and didn't want to share any true detail. I respect that, but anyway all those words don't say much about the facts surrounding the re release.

I found his comments interesting also. Obviously they are "friendly " again. I just wish there had been more with this release. Interviews , but also the release itself needed photos, concert material, demos etc...
|
She said something in one of the interviews regarding BN at the time that she had "just spoken to him last night" or that she was "going to speak to him" later. Thing is, they have always talked or in some form communicated far more than people realize or want to acknowledge. All through her solo career she continued sending him tapes to help her with, and he did so without ever saying anything publicly. And when she got stuck while working with other producers, she called him to bail her out. Most recent that she went public about was calling him to figure out Soldier's Angel when Dave Stewart couldn't make it sound like she wanted. She's lucky he still carries a torch for her enough to be there whenever she calls him, and then lets her take all the credit. :sorry:

I'll never understand those two. Okay, supposedly she sent him demos frequently. But she told that when she gave him her album Bella Donna (I think it was in France?), he completely ignored it, and that hurt her, etc., etc... If that's true, do you expect me to believe that after that she sent him demos of any Wild Heart or Rock a Little song? And that he helped her on some ocassions? Well, we already know Stevie changes stories depending on his emotions, whims, or memory lapses—who knows. That's the only explanation I can buy. Either that, or they've both always been nuts.
I mean about the 80s. I accept he could help her sometimes this century. |

Had the album been released on literally any date of any year at any time, Lindsey would say it "somehow" felt fitting and cyclical.

So I dedicated to decide who's more handsom. William or young Lindsey. I say young Lindsey. ;) |

THat's why people have to stop trying to understand them and their relationship as if they are normal people living lives like any of us. They are not. They are both spoiled brats who do things on a whim and their entourage of butt-kissers will just go along with it. She gave him a SIGNED COPY of her album.....as if he's some random fan. I don't actually blame him for ignoring it. How diva of her. If she was genuinely trying to thank him (there are old songs on it that he'd worked out the arrangements for over the years and she just handed to Jimmy) she should have found a more personal, sincere way. Dumb dumb dumb. You can believe whatever you want. She sh&ts all over him and he comes back for more, and she knows he will. So yes, when she gets stuck on a song, she sends him a tape. You can send a tape and the other person can send a tape back and never really have to sit in the same room or hang out. It's pretty simple. He clearly likes that she still needs him and no one else can be the kind of musical "soulmate" as he calls it that he is. She'll do whatever she needs to do to be successful. If that means sending him tapes, she'll do it no problem. She won't say it to the public, and usually he doesn't either. Again I find it amusing that people can't accept that their relationship-- whatever it is --doesn't fit how "normal people" live life. |

Stevie has been a "Star" all her life and unfortunately for her, this has sometimes been to her detriment. Not comparing her particularly to Elvis, but Elvis was quoted to have made these comments on fame: "The more famous you are, the more isolated you become". Also, "The image is one thing, the human being is another". |

Her life is actually kind of sad. That she ended up like this. I guess fame was her only baby..... |
Yes Stevie was going to be famous no matter what. Was it Keith Olsen that said she was going to be a superstar or a nobody. There was nothing in between.
Remember in the late 90s or about 2000 Stevie leased excerpts of her journal on the NicksFix. She wrote almost every day reminding herself "Walk like a queen." Lots of work goes into her presentation and image. |

The one who did seem unhappy to me, despite his great music, his success and (supposedly) having children, was Michael Jackson. He was trapped by fame and paranoia. I love him as an artist, but he became a freak, he lost friends, afraid of even his own shadow; his personal life definitely didn't seem happy. |

He did say some funny things about Bella Donna. I think in one of the Bay Area Music (BAM) magazine cover articles in 1981, he said that he liked his album (Law and Order) better. Big surprise there. Stevie was asked about Law and Order in 1981, and she said that it had some beautiful things on it (I think she was referring to “Trouble”) but also said it had some stuff that “wasn’t her.” I would imagine that most of that album “wasn’t her.” Imagine Stevie’s first impression of “Johnny Stew” or “Bwana.” As I have said a million times, they are two very different animals in terms of their musical proclivities. One of the reasons Lindsey has done great work with her songs is that he’s probably one of the very few people who have spent a lot of time tinkering with them in the studio. I don’t think that Jimmy Iovine, for example, spent more than a few weeks getting “Edge of Seventeen” into its final form, and most of that effort came from the guys in the band just jamming on the E chord. Her solo albums aren’t orchestrated the way Fleetwood Mac orchestrated music — with painstaking bits of sound dabbed on the “canvas” until the right vibe was created. Lindsey made great tracks out of “Gypsy” and “Gold Dust Woman” because he spent months on the vibe creating all-inclusive little sonic worlds with just the right 6/7. Incidentally, could 6/7 derive from the old phrase “at sixes and sevens” — in chaos? |

I've read she had 4 children, that, well.... how do you say it?.... didn't make it past the county landfill. Christine...I can't imagine she was ever crazy about children. I admire, and share that trait with her. Team Christine. Michael Jackson... well, I think he had some serious mental issues. Just because he was super kind doesn't mean he wasn't Wacko Jacko. Hopefully she is satisfied with the choices she's made. Fame did seem to be her only goal. |

Although Lindsey Buckingham has not released a strictly narrative "concept album", his second solo album, Go Insane (1984), functions almost as such, as it explores intense themes of loss, emotional anguish, and the end of his relationship with Carol Ann Harris following his departure from Fleetwood Mac. |
