Stevie is raking it in
Stevie is #10 of the years biggest grossing global concerts. One of her shows grosses 2.5 million on average. She also has an average of over 13,000 attendees at each show which is a packed arena.
What to go Stevie! What on earth are you going to do with all that money. You know Mick is freaking out looking at her numbers  TOP 20 GLOBAL CONCERT TOURS Rank Artist Avg Gross Revenue Avg Attendance Avg Ticket Price 1 Chris Brown $7,024,683 42,902 $163.74 2 Eagles $4,837,068 16,305 $296.65 3 Shakira $4,626,236 38,717 $119.49 4 Lady Gaga $4,391,070 23,694 $185.32 5 Imagine Dragons $3,837,073 41,561 $92.32 6 Guns N’ Roses $3,501,486 34,598 $101.20 7 SEVENTEEN $3,059,420 17,278 $177.06 8 Dua Lipa $2,903,066 21,505 $134.99 9 Billie Eilish $2,599,091 17,111 $151.89 10 Stevie Nicks $2,539,178 13,024 $194.95 11 Sabrina Carpenter $2,027,445 13,442 $150.82 12 Tyler Childers $1,836,384 19,246 $95.41 13 Chayanne $1,679,614 11,736 $143.11 14 Hans Zimmer Live$1,663,667 11,598 $143.44 15 Tate McRae $1,643,918 13,276 $123.82 16 NBA YoungBoy $1,638,205 13,030 $125.72 17 Junior H $1,608,644 13,461 $119.50 18 Mumford & Son $1,438,910 13,120 $109.67 19 Lewis Capaldi $1,419,381 14,667 $96.77 20 Benson Boone $1,388,769 13,557 $102.43 |
Now we know why she discarded Angel
By the way, of that list, I only know, or at least have heard of, 7. And one of them is thanks to Elton John. ;) |
Incredible! Go girl!

She really is the only one out there at that level, and especially at her age..... it's all dudes. So.....she loves being a record-setter, and it's precisely why she'll keep doing it as long as the tickets sell.

I don't know if you'd consider Cher, Céline, Janet, and Madonna in her level - I think if they were out on the road now they'd be making more money than Steve is. Sadly, it doesn't seem like Barbra tours anymore. |
Good for her and the fans that still enjoy her live shows. My last solo Stevie concert was the In Your Dreams tour and it was amazing. I have no interest in her live shows anymore, I’m just hoping for some new music.

or another solo song. I don't consider Stevie in the same level as Madonna, in terms of pop impact over the years. Madonna used to reinvent herself very successfully. I remember her being included in an article about success stories in an MBA course. Good for Stevie anyway. |

She must still like traveling across the country. Otherwise, she could probably very easily set up camp in Vegas. (What do they call that when a pop act stays there for months?)

And, at the risk of being crucified, I don't see pop as a musical genre. I see it more as a look, an attitude, a commercial purpose, etc. In fact, the closest definition of pop I've found is... "an eclectic genre, borrowing elements from other styles such as urban, dance, rock, latin, R&B, and folk music". I kind of agree but then that's is not a music genre, it's more like a Frankenstein creature. So it's not a genre. When I think of pop stars, I don't identify them by the style of their songs, but by how they promoted them, how popular are they. My personal opinion. |

I bought some Deluxe editions thru iTunes. They labeled the Tango album as rock genre. Mirage as pop. Tusk and BuckVie as rock. So I guess they don't know either. I've had that same doubt for years about Eagles, David Bowie, Kiss and Queen. I read in their Wikipedia pages that many bands are labeled (among other genres) as "pop rock", like Bon Jovi, Air Supply, Fleetwood Mac, Styx, Annie Lennox, and The Carpenters. It's a fairly large gray area. There used to be a radio station named "Z Rock&Pop". They included most of the bands and singers I like, so it didn't complicate things. Although I haven't listened to any radio (or even Spotify) for over 15 years. |

Considering how Stevie is regarded as the biggest female touring rockstar past the age of 55, it's interesting that she wasn't inducted in her first year of eligibility into the Hall - speaking of women: Heart, Donna Summer, Patti Smith, Darlene Love, ABBA, Joan Baez, Joan Jett, Linda Ronstadt, and Blondie were all inducted before Stevie was inducted as a solo artist. |

The ironic part of the S&L relationship is that from very early on Lindsey was her biggest champion of her talents. (until the break up when of course he started to weaponize it). |
