Here we go again- another repackaging 1975-87
Mick must be close to another bankruptcy. 1975-87.
https://fmac.lnk.to/7587?fbclid=IwY2...YunwUyEsQksj6g Vinyl is $175. CDs are $50. |
In iTunes the White, Rumours songs are 2004 remasters, Tusk are 2015 remasters, Mirage are 2016 and Tango 2017. Nothing new, except that there are 2 tracks (GYOW and Silver S.) that says "Mono". Does that mean monophonic sound???
Personally, I'm no longer interested in buying more editions of those albums, but I don't think including mono versions will attract any fans, unless it refers to something else. |

It annoys me because there is such good Tusk goodies of demos and Rumours demos never released. They have fairly completed songs of Sleeping Angel, Beauty and the Beast. How Still My Love and Outside the rain was flirted with during Tusk recordings but the only audio is Stevie on the piano. However, they dug out stinker demos for Mirage like Ooh My Love. There is still terrific material not being released yet they keep releasing the same stuff over and over. We got 14 versions of I Know I'm Not Wrong but no Tusk demos like Farmers Daughter or anything else? Tusk and Rumours had lots of leftovers that still are not being released. It took 40 years to get a full Mirage show released on CD. Imagine it being released right after the Dance. |

Me, too. I bought the 69-74 5 disc set a couple years ago, and I'm DONE buying reissues from them. "Hey Mick, I hear that ketchup is pretty good on dog food!" |

I see the ad in Mick's FB the vinyls are transparent. Looks cool. Not enough reason to buy it (for me), but cool anyway. |

This was 20 years ago!!!! Imagine today? But on the flip side I do not recognize one person up for a Grammy. I know nothing about new music nor do I want to know about new music. Its horrible. Autotune, programmed bass, ripped off hook and melody, and bad music. No thanks! When I saw Buckingham McVie at the Hardrock Casino I was waiting in line to get inside. I had multiple people come up to me and ask "who is playing tonight?" When I said "Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie" they said, "Who is that?" And these were not kids. These people were in their late 30s. |

So I always try not to sound like a grumpy old man  But some of my friends already do. :) If youngs like to listen that kind of music, good for them. But I don't like it. Now, if they ask me what do I think about it, I will tell them, with respect but without anesthesia , but only if they ask me. |

Well, they have to do something different to the package, or morons wouldn't keep buying it. |
Rumours has been released to death, but is there a market for other FM rereleases other than Rumours? Would people on this board support rereleases? I’m talking about Behind the Mask, Time, Say You Will, the EP, and Buck/Vie. Maybe the Dance, as well.
Except for the Dance, the other albums sold just ok, none were multi platinum releases. I’m not even sure SYW Buck/Vie went platinum. I’m just curious if ‘rerelease fatigue’ has affected fans enough that they will no longer buy even a new edition of something besides Rumours. |

KNOW WHAT I WOULD BUY? Mirage video with all recorded tracks, and while you're at it, release both shows. Largo/Landover - "for screening only" concert video. 1980 Live album - with all the unreleased tracks. 2014 tour video - Christine's triumphant return tour. |

But how many ledgies are there? Actually the point is the general market. The record company would release them only if they consider it would be a good business, and I don't think it would be, but who knows. How much did the expanded/deluxe editions of White, Tusk, Mirage and Tango sell? I have no idea, but White had Expanded and Deluxe, same as Tusk. Tango and Mirage just Deluxe. I don't remember if they had 5.1, Blu-Ray audio, DVD audio, whatever format editions. But Rumours has all the possible formats. They always think it will be a good deal. A 2014 Live would be interesting, although their voices were no longer the same. |

Rhino has released a box set titled Fleetwood Mac 1969 - 1974, and NOW Fleetwood Mac 1975 - 1987.
Will there be a third Rhino box set release, Fleetwood Mac 1988 - 2019? featuring the material from Greatest Hits, Behind the Mask, Time, The Dance, and Say You Will? |

I'm not sure Mick and John were on Sleeping Around The Corner and Love Is Here To Stay. Of course, the 2018-2019 Tour had no new music. |
I'm pretty sure they released this box set once before, when they originally did the 69-74 box set. It sold out very quickly and went out of print. That's probably why they can justify a second run.

I could see a box with BTM, Time, SYW, LBCM, and a bonus CD of Mac and immediate Mac-adjacent.

So...I guess I'm going to die before FM (or Mick Fleetwood with Rhino) release this kind of box set but from 1988 to 2003...Which colour would be a pretty one for that?? :]

Yet we still don't have an updated version of The Dance that includes Gypsy, Over My Head etc...the most obvious and easiest CD/LP packaging of arguably their most popular release since Rumours. I still cannot believe how Warner fumbled the ball on that one. Although 2027 isn't that far away for a 30th Anniversary release - but I'm sure they'll do a 50th anniversary Rumours release instead LOL.

I don’t disagree, but the 94 version was better. |
I love blow. AND the song. Seriously, Bekka's WAILING vocals at the end MAKE the song work. She's the best vocalist ever to grace FM.
