LA Fires

Both Stevie and Lindsey live right in the midst of the area consumed by fire. Stevie's big house in the hills of Santa Monica next to Pacific Palisades, her "rock and roll apartment" right on the PCH and Lindsey is up in the hills in Brentwood also in the thick of things. Both areas were given evacuation notices as of last night; Pacific Palisades and the stretch of Pacific Coast Highway thru Malibu and down thru Santa Monica is just devastated.

Hoping not only that they and their families and teams are safe but that they didn't lose homes and belongings in the process.

Is Stevie still out on the road?? On a slightly cynical note, I'll be awaiting in the future her new song about the fires.....:sorry:

Last I heard (which has been many years now) John was in Woodland Hills, and that also in the danger zone.

sleepless child 01-08-2025 03:06 PM

I thought John and Lindsey lived pretty close. In his RS interview after the firing, it was mentioned. This is a horrific thing happening. I hope they are all safe.

Villavic 01-08-2025 05:19 PM

Hope they are safe. I read also about Mark Hamill, James Woods, evacuating their homes. Surely many celebrities live in risk areas.

A friend of mine lives just posted she is ok, she is closer to downtown LA than to the hills or parks affected by the fires. How terrible, fires in California while freezing weather hits central states, east coast, and parts of Europe.

WatchChain 01-08-2025 08:30 PM

With millions of dollars and large sums of wealth, I can assure you that Stevie, Lindsey, and John are safe.

Their handlers have assured they are nowhere near the area. It's definitely heartbreaking. Thankfully, they have the funds and means to overcome this terrible natural disaster.

Doesn't mean their properties can't burn down though, sadly....:( I'm sure their houses are filled with expensive items (yes, all of which can be replaced like recording equipment etc...) but also memorabilia etc.

And as I said, hopefully their teams are all ok too....they have people who work for them who also live all over the LA area (not everyone is rich and famous).

Villavic 01-09-2025 08:07 AM

Oh, they will definitely be safe. If they suffer losses, it should only be material and only those things of sentimental value will affect them the most. It is not the case of families who will lose everything and suffer the most, regardless of whether their houses are insured or not.

One still wishes that everyone is safe, whether they are ordinary people, celebrities, royalty, etc.

BigAl84 01-09-2025 11:30 AM

I'm pretty sure the house where IYD was recorded is east of the major fires. Hopefully her house will be ok.

jbrownsjr 01-09-2025 12:05 PM

It's truly been terrifying. Malibu, too. It's heartbreaking.

WatchChain 01-09-2025 12:42 PM

I am hearing unverified reports that late last night, Stevie lost her home in the LA fires. Any truth to this? I surely hope this is not the case.

These fires are devastating.

Actually, the fires are *quite* close to that house.

I won't post where Stevie's actual house is, but if you look at a map of the area between Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades, there's an area where the streets fan out in a sort of circular pattern.....luckily it seems her actual house has so far been spared but when a fire is within a couple of streets I'd say that's being at risk.

I don't know why some on here insist on making this political; OF COURSE it is horrific if ANYONE loses their house and everything they own. And sure, rich people can afford to rebuild and re-buy everything whereas middle class or working people may not. However, I will point out that this is a FLEETWOOD MAC FORUM and thus the focus here is on how things relate to the members of the band. Just because people are on here talking about possible impacts to Stevie and/or Lindsey doesn't mean that outside of this forum they aren't aware/sensitive/compassionate/or donating to organizations or others who help those who are not rich. Geebus. Take the stick out.

BigAl84 01-09-2025 01:15 PM

Oh crap...I just looked at an updated map from one of the local news stations. Not looking good for that house.

That was the really bad main area. (Just south of me) And the wind was blowing really hard south. But, lots of swirling winds (up to 100 mph).

Then there was a fire just about 2 blocks near a golf course in our area.
Some of my friends were evac'd, then brought back, and then another warning of another evac.

Needless to say, sleep has not been a thing for the past 36 hours.

Talking about Fleetwood Mac related historic places, what about the house that appears in Destiny Rules video?

I can't even begin to imagine :sorry: Just horrible! Hope you stay safe!!

Haven't seen anything about Stevie's house. Not sure where his actual house is but Billy Crystal lives in Pacific Palisades and his house is gone; Anthony Hopkins; John Goodman; James Woods; Melissa Rivers; Other celebs in Malibu also.

You need to steal me something from that house, and mail it to me.

Stay safe, Johnny Boy.

Villavic 01-09-2025 03:58 PM

Lindsey, Mick ande Stevie (or their assistants) are active on social media, they have not posted anything about it.

When I read the first news about these fires I thought they would be like those that happened before. I have a friend in San Bernardino whose house almost burned down several years ago. I mean I always read about fires not so close to Hollywood, Sunset Blvd, etc. Now I see these fires are very very close to city areas. and seem to be much larger than those from the past. So sad.

Sad and outrageous that there are fake pictures in social media too. I saw one of the Hollywood sign burning. That was fake, at least until this morning. There are homes not far from there so they shouldn't lie nor joke like that.

Employees at Esri updated an ArcGIS Experience Builder app tracking the Eaton and Palisades fires. It’s mobile friendly.

She's so ridiculous, and completely full of herself.

Poor old washed up thing...

I think that house was part of a series of recording studios, not a particular person's address, but I'm not sure.

She remembers the forest fire in Bambi's movie, so she knows how it feels

It's an actual private house that they rented and filled with recording equipment for the time they were there.

Hannah Giraldo posted that Pat Benatar ( her mother) and her father Neil have had to evacuate.

My heart breaks for everyone who have lost their homes etc.

She dreamed of Bambi, and led all the animals out of the fire.

There is a video over on Reddit and it appears to be Karen. She mentions saving her house and now staying in a hotel. It's truly terrifying what's happening.

good find!....yeah she never says who she is.. but....maybe so.

Funny they talk about her saving "her" house....but east side of Chautauqua is where her boss's house is... not sure I can imagine Karen owning a home there, so wonder if she lives in the big house (Stevie's niece was for a long time... Stevie lives as in sleeps and all that in her penthouse apartment).

Found a clip here: https://www.instagram.com/stevienick...l/DEnOx5zAMGC/

Storms123 01-10-2025 01:19 PM

Stevie's niece mentioned yesterday she evacuated but no mention was made of evacuating to Aunt Stevie's. In the video, Karen mentioned she's staying in a hotel, I assume Stevie is there too

BigAl84 01-10-2025 01:48 PM

It would definitely be an ideal situation if Karen was able to have a house a few doors down from Stevie. It would be a nightmare constantly having to travel long distances back and forth between her house and Stevie's.

I figured Karen lived with her. Can you imagine how needy she is?

i think even Karen must have a limit to her patience...it's like live-in nannies who feel like they never get time off because the kids are always running in wanting something lol. sometimes you need to exit the premises and be unavailable for a little while.

Can you imagine telling her that? How could she not go ballistic? I'M A LEGEND!!!

bombaysaffires 01-11-2025 01:39 PM

The fire is currently headed to Brentwood and people are evacuating. It is inching toward's Lindsey's neighborhood and The Getty.... this is insane.

Yes, I recall an interview a print journalist did with Stevie a few years back (before COVID at least) and it was done at her apartment overhanging the PCH. Stevie showed the interviewer her fridge which had packages of prepared food that she was getting from a meal prep/delivery service (she might have been getting in shape for tour or something; I remember she joked about the little packages of carrots stacking up in the fridge). And then the interviewer left, it was evening, and it seemed very much like Stevie is there by herself at that point. But Stevie herself has described that apartment as like one giant kind of rounded room. So...maybe Karen tucks her in at night and goes home til morning..... I kinda hope so.

I recently read Get Tusked and Hernan talks about being her boyfriend during that time and the insane number of people always in her house then. And if you stop to think about it, where are all those folks now? Like Sharon lived with her for quite a while, Robin, Mary, and a zillion other people. Nearly all of them moved on, moved out, got married, had kids, etc etc etc...... In other words, grew up a little and had real lives. Hell even the other band members did. Not Stevie.

Being FAMOUS STEVIE NICKS was all she really cared about. It's actually really sad, now.
