Weird MTV interview outtakes

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c92HzMgS6Ss

Well here's a weird video of outtakes from "A One Night Stand With FM", from MTV. I think they're high AF!

BLY 08-27-2024 05:12 PM

That was hilarious to watch. Thanks for posting. Of course the million dollar question is ……Where is Stevie?

You're welcome. Being the Mirage era, she was probably busy recording WH? Or doing blow. Or getting laid...:blob2::blob1::blob2:

Stevie has her own separate one where she cant remember the promo "One Night Stand you will never forget" Someone is working on her hair and you really get to see what a dingbat she is because she keeps flubbing her lines. This segment was not only used for the Fleetwood Mac promo but later for the "I want my MTV" Promo where Stevie talks like a baby.
She talks about the video Gypsy too. There is also the non-outtake video where they are a more successful in getting their lines about about the Fleetwood Mac "one night stand."
In this outtake, Chris indirectly admits she is high (even though you can tell). She says, This is Christine McVie hi(gh) and then busts out laughing. Does not someone mumble yeah we know or something?
I never had MTV in 1982. Does anyone remember the promo or did they feature the person who won? They got to meet the band and get front row seats to a Mirage show.

She was the director and camerawoman. Did you guys not know she gave directing lessons to Brian de Palma?

I'd say that the most amazing thing in the ENTIRE WORLD, is that such a talentless, card carrying IDIOT could conquer the world. I guess never undervalue sex appeal.

I have a transcendental doubt. At 6:52, did she say I'm Christine Mc Vie, hi. Or... I'm Christine McVie, high. ;)

Yes, Rolling Stone published a Random Note on the winners in September. It was a young married couple from somewhere-or-other. They were flown to Michigan for the Detroit show (a fantastic show, by the way, one of the best of the tour) and had their pictures taken with the band for dinner.

Thanks for sharing that. Must have been an incredible time. I wish we could interview or talk to them today about their experience. Its amazing the things a postcard could win you in the 1980s :)
I am sure it was a one night stand they will never forget

MTV gave away a "little pink house" in my hometown, during John Mellenhead's reign(btw- he's a COMPLETE douchebag - nobody here likes him as a person - he's a MISERABLE person).

After she said that, John added, 'As a ****ing kite!' and i would agree.

i remember drooling at the idea of winning that contest. of course i was too young to enter but boy was i jealous of people who could send a sh*tload of postcards in.

They had no shame being this wasted for their MTV promo and their Tusk photoshoot. Even Lindsey looks really wasted.
THIS is why their limo chats make no sense.

And I remember the husband being interviewed on MTV about the experience. He said his favorite moment was when Lindsey dedicated “Hold Me” to him and his new wife.

I also remember Martha Quinn picking the winning envelope out of an enormous bin. She read off the couple’s names and I thought “lucky bastards.”

Does anyone know if Stevie showed up for the dinner? I wonder if this couple is still together. I wish we could talk to them. Kudos to Lindsey for still remembering their names and calling them out on stage. Well done Sir.

Here's the couple (Randy and Debbie) in People Magazine, which I've uploaded to here.

OMG that is so freaking incredible. Thank you for sharing this. I love that he is hugging both Chris and Stevie at the same time. So cool that they welcomed him so warmly. His 3 friends never even flew before so the Lear Jet experience must have been wild. Talk about a dream.

The limo rider (“pal” DJ Cousino) was pretty hot. There, I said it.
