June 9, 2024 Mohegan Sun
Going tonight to see Stevie in concert and very excited. I last saw her in September opening for Billy Joel in an outdoor venue and her voice was the best I have heard this entire century. Looking forward to her 13 minute stories because she is so much fun to listen to and very funny with her comments. Hoping vocally she tops the September performance. This show is indoors inside a casino. I am not a gambler.

I hope you had a great time! Jealous here, I'll see her again if she comes to Australia this tour. Hope she hit some high notes for you.

It was a sold out show and this is the cake they presented to Stevie backstage

Glad you enjoyed! Did everyone in the arena stand for the show?
Did she sing Fall From Grace, I Sing For the Things, Free Fallin, and Rock and Roll? I bet she's still not playing Sara. Marilyn said Stevie didn't want to play it anymore but I hope it will come back. |

That's right, she does The Buffalo Springfield song. I think that's a pretty well known tune. She really loves singing it. Too bad that she's dropped songs. I guess she's singing about 14 songs now? |

Now she says she misses being a cleaning lady? I thought she hated it  |

It’s still amazing when she sells out a big show. She’s a commercial powerhouse after decades.
A long time ago, she said that she was at her happiest on a stage. She wasn’t kidding. Get back out on the road again for a million reasons — but there’s only one reason: she loves it! |
I think she is sounding better than she has for quite awhile…
Not so flat and shrill…quite melodic. Being on the road obviously suits her. She looks great (apart from the hair)…sounds much lighter somehow. And is happy. |

Yes somewhere I have read she worked cleaning Keith's house. Though in his book Mick mentions "houses", but probably they were occasional jobs. He also mention in his 1992 book, what Stevie also remembered in a 1994 interview, that she worked as a waitress in Copper Penny, Clementine’s, and Bob’s Big Boy.
It would be funny to see picture from her waitress days, wearing the uniform. And what I wouldn't give to have seen her working at Monica Geller's 50s-themed restaurant. https://m.media-amazon.com/images/M/...zOTA@._V1_.jpg https://m.media-amazon.com/images/M/...0,140,140_.jpg |

Outside The Rain and Bella Donna were on a #1 multiplatinum selling album and I’d gather even her younger fans would likely own that or stream it more than her other albums. Wild Heart is always on Andy’s Kiki Lounge station, there’s the viral video of her singing Wild Heart for the cover shoot, and recently a video of her singing it backstage with Harry Styles’ band. The way Soldier’s Angel is performed is without presumption because Stevie sets it up with the story as if the audience member has never heard it before and with the video accompaniment they love the song like it’s one of her best. What else is there: Leather and Lace, Gold Dust Woman, Dreams, Landslide, Stand Back, Gypsy, Edge of Seventeen, and the cover of a huge hit For What It’s Worth. I’d still say it’s a setlist for those who want to hear what they know. But that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a fantastic performance and concert! |

I really only like Think About It, How Still My Love, and Outside The Rain. But I'd gladly accept Kind of Woman, Glitter, or The Highwayman in her setlist. It's amazing how much her setlist has regressed since the 24 Karat Gold: Songs From The Vault Tour in 2016. So many forgotten songs. |

And I never even realized, until a couple of years ago, that Don Felder was the guitar player on The Highwayman(probably back when I read all liner notes, I didn't realize the name was from the Eagles- HEY, I WAS 5 WHEN BD CAME OUT) But I digress- Bella Donna is her OPUS. Anyone who doesn't worship it is dumb af. |

She has so many Top 40 songs she could put in her setlist however. |

Stevie performed at a sold out Soldier Field in Chicago on Friday June 21, 2024 with Billy Joel as her co-headliner. Stevie played 14 songs, including Wild Heart and Bella Donna, her rendition of Buffalo Springfield's For What It's Worth, Gypsy, and Leather and Lace.
Billy Joel played 27 songs. I guess this setlist is Stevie "doing whatever I want to do now." |

I'm not a big fan of his, but he definitely has more clout. |

She can’t do 20+ songs anymore that’s the issue. The new shows are replaced with stories to “save” her voice. |
