More 2024 Tour Dates
From Ultimate Classic Rock
Stevie Nicks has extended her tour into 2024, announcing eight new dates for next year. Her first 2024 date will take place on Feb. 10 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and then continue through March 9 in Arlington, Texas. You can see a complete list of shows below. Tickets will be available starting Sept. 29. Stevie Nicks With Billy Joel Of the eight newly announced shows, one will be a co-headlining performance with Billy Joel. The two artists have been appearing together since March. "We met at a Fleetwood Mac gig in San Francisco probably 10 years ago," Joel told the Los Angeles Times earlier this year. "I just got to meet her backstage, but we've never worked together, even though we both kind of hit at the same time. So this'll be a completely new thing for me." But thinking about never played live songs, I would like to see her singing The Chain demo, from Rumours: More From The Recording Sessions [Disc 3], Of course it would have been better played by Fleetwood Mac, but since they almost always included The Chain final version at shows, it wasn't likely to happen. Plus Fleetwood Mac is practically over, so watching this version at a Stevie solo show would be nice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-_bGOyzU24 |

Re: Talk to Me- have you ever heard the lower register version that was released on a compilation CD featuring hits of the 1980s? It’s a less bombastic version of Talk to Me that some folks prefer over the original. So it could definitely return to her set in this form. I also love your choices Room on Fire, Ooh My Love, Seven Womders, Blue Denim, and especially Blue Lamp! |

The chances of Stevie performing any of those songs would have the same probability of her opening with Go Your Own Way. |

I’d be interested to see if For What It’s Worth and Free Fallin’ leave the setlist in 2024. Adding that I listened to the lower Talk To Me and I like it. Thank you for letting me know about it! I think they should remove the sax section, Waddy’s good at slicing parts out. |

She honors Tom with Stop Draggin's introduction and Tom is on the screen too during that live performance. I would like she sang I Will Run To You, The Apartment Song, or Insider in addition to Stop Draggin'. |
Let's get real....six years later, this isn't about honoring Tom. It's nothing more than "everyone loves this song, it's a big sing along that I can put in my set that wins over everyone"
It's one more perverse move in her thirty year quest to be in the Heartbreakers. |

Free Falling was initially recorded in 1996 and didn't make it into a set until Tom's passing. |

For What It's Worth is an easy song to sing. Feet planted on the ground for that one. |
Happy Anniversary to Show Them the Way!
3 years ago this week Stevie released Show Them The Way.
9 years ago this week Stevie released her most recent album, Songs From The Vault. And the setlist doesn't have any songs from 2014 on in it. |

I don’t understand her premise. |

This is what is so refreshing about Bruce. He can perform a set without one single and the crowd will know every song. Fleetwood Mac has always had weird fans (like we did not know lol). Several members stated that during their Rumours tour they needed to dial back the amount of new songs because the audience was not into them. To think Rumours is considered one of the best albums of all time yet the audience was not into it when it was fresh? This is why I have always believed that Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks always do their #1 song as the second or third song in the set to keep their shallow audience interested. Good grief if the band does a deep track its a mass exodus to the snack bar. Her creativity dried up decades ago. She's an oldies act living off Dreams, Stand Back, Rhiannon, Landslide, Gold Dust Woman and Edge of 17. |

This morning I Don’t Want To Know was on Sirius Classic Rock; Stevie can play that one as a co-lead with her bgvocalists, Waddy, and Al, like she did with Buckingham Nicks’ Crying In The Night. If she resents the song, do Silver Springs. Angel was a deep cut but it could replace I Sing For The Things. Something must be up with Talk To Me because it’s her second biggest hit and hasn’t been played in 30 years. |

However remember her solo sets post TISRL tour in the early, mid and late 2000's. They were her worst setlists. They were short and she would do songs like Crash Into Me and other stuff and ignore her catalog worse then than now. And she was younger and could have done more songs. Her Enchanted Tour was really good. She dug into the vault for Sleeping Angel, Rose Garden, Garbo, After the Glitter Fades, and Twisted. She even dug out Gold and Braid which had not been performed for a very long time. |

I saw her do Leather and Lace a number of times in 2016 and then she replaced it with Landslide. As for not doing it on your since, I think she needed to swap something for Free Fallin. |

Plus you also had her doing 2 songs from TISL so it was really like 9 new songs. |
Marilyn Martin did not sing at the show in Minneapolis tonight. Stevie's vocal coach sang alongside Sharon.
It's interesting that when Sharon was out sick, Marilyn sang standing alone but with Sharon's prerecorded vocals accompanying Marilyn's vocals. |
Fat chance she's going to make dramatic setlists. Have you witnessed her numerous times she's said in her career "I'm working on a new setlist of songs, putting a lot of new stuff" She's got the same prehistoric notion of whatever happened to them in Rumours tour when they played new songs and almost got booed off the stage. That has haunted her since to this day.
We're lucky to get 1 maybe 2 changes, or new songs that get added in and yanked back out after a couple tries. Someone needs to shake her and be like DO NEW STUFF, but she never fully goes along with it and changes her mind. It's the most obnoxious thing about her career to me is that she could have done SO much more over the years. The only silver lining for me was getting to hear Bella Donna and Wild Heart even if it's just medley arranged. That tour she stuck her neck out a little bit which it was like FINALLY. But man, so many missed opportunities. |

Does anyone know WHICH shows those would have been, and if there are any contemporaneous accounts (fan accounts, or actual reviews etc) of any specific shows where this happened?? |
