I hadn't seen a couple of the photos in this article before.

2 of my all time favorite photos are from the Mirage era. The photo with them on top of the building. However I prefer the one in the Rolling Stone article that is a bit different than this one here. I dont like Stevie's stare and it looks like Mick has to hold her up. I also LOVE the shadow silhouette used in the Mirage show. That is the coolest thing ever. I always wanted it painted on my bedroom wall.
I dont like the Tusk photo shoots. They are so wasted and dont even care they are doing photo shoots. They are so wasted. They are wasted in Mirage shoots too but at least the early 80s hit and they cleaned up a bit ;) |

I don’t think they look wasted in any of the pictures, with the exception of the candid one with Stevie. Just because we know they did drugs, especially back then, doesn’t mean they were always wasted. When you say they don’t even care, I see as a more carefree attitude- for example, the Tusk photos in the album show John swinging Stevie, and they’re having a little fun. |

if you've ever watched any of the behind-the-scenes footage of the photo shoots for Tusk, they are ABSOLUTELY wasted.

I love the silhouette photo. I've always felt it represented the mystery behind their collective and individual personality(s) at the same time.

Always dig those alternative TANGO shots that they SHOULD have used on the album…

The second, third, and fourth series in stage clothes were from backstage at the Meadowlands — like September 14 (?) in 1982.
Further down, there’s one there of Stevie (circa 1983) with Boz Scaggs. There’s also one with Wozniak and Graham at the US Festival (9.05.82), which we’ve probably all seen before. |
