$he's older than dirt now, and sounds like it. Time to hang it up.

jmn3 05-24-2023 11:12 AM

Good lord this is pathetic even for her

A lot of her facial expressions live would indicate that. Not to mention the general space cadet nature of everything she says

You mean that thing she’s somehow always done? Like the time she had Kenny G on an album?

Or when Martin Luther King came to her in a dream

Oh my goodness. LOL.

So did Ms. Swift really write this song for Stevie, or did Stevie just colonize it?

Lol it was released before Chris died so safe to say Stevie and Chris weren’t even a thought when Taylor wrote it. This would just be Stevie trying to remain relevant with the TikTok crowd. She’s truly a nut

Oh my gosh, that’s cray. I bet everyone in that crowd thought Taylor wrote Stevie a song. I mean, that’s what I thought!

Edit: Why can’t Stevie just say, “Taylor Swift wrote a beautiful song a few years ago that really means a lot to me, especially since my bandmate Christine died”?

BombaySapphire3 05-24-2023 01:59 PM

Tina Turner has died maybe Stevie can focus on doing a "tribute" instead of trying to latch on to Taylor.

Ha haa, nice try. She is so mentioned, even in threads that have nothing to do with her, that I think this obsession means they actually still adore her even more than before.

That being said, and since you love her so much, you'll be happy when you hear that a Stevie song has been included on the golden record of the new Voyager III mission. As you know, this is the new version of the record that contains sounds and images selected to portray the diversity of life and culture on Earth, and are intended for any intelligent extraterrestrial life form who may find them.

What better than having Stevie Nicks as an interstellar ambassador for planet Earth, don't you think?

Yeah ..that and she can bring up her own 2 RRHOF inductions by mentioning Tina's in the tribute.

It's funny, but really it isn't. And may Tina RIP. What a beautiful legend she was.

She really is nuttier than a fruit cake.

It's truly AMAZING that she went anywhere in life, being such a ditz. I guess she's lucky that she was hot, and all the powerful men wanted to f*ck her.

I was going to make a crude comment about the power of a certain female body part but it was probably not the right thing to put out there. That said…

Because she’s completely insane! Ever since her mother died and then she tossed LB out of her orbit, nobody around her will tell her to STFU and knock it off.

Her and Tina commiserated over being in abusive relationships with powerful men. Didn’t you know?

Also - Tina sang “The Best” - a song written for Stevie. Duh

I read where Stevie said that Tina wrote all of her songs for her.

I was thinking she would dedicate Landslide to Tina after she finishes the song tomorrow night in Orlando but I think that would take the tribute away from Christine especially since there are all pictures of Chris on the screen during the performance.

I'm pretty sure Stevie will post a letter about Tina on her social media. She posted a really beautiful one today about the one year since Uvalde. She mentions Lindsey in it too. It was really well written.

She already has and as predicted it mentions that she and Tina are the only women inducted twice in the RRHOF.

Macfan4life 05-24-2023 05:18 PM

The CNN posted article is only a fraction of what Stevie had to say. Besides stating she was not "phone buddies" with Chris (which tells you they only spoke inside the band), she claims that her and Chris never had a fight.
C'mon Stevie, everyone has had a fight in Fleetwood Mac. In 1984 Chris went on the record stating that Stevie "really had her feet on the ground 10 years ago but today she has created a fantasy world that I am not part of." Then she went on to say that they dont or rarely socialize.
No doubt Chris was a mentor to Stevie. Being two women in a band in a man's world kept them close. However they were not friends. Chris was definitely friends with Mick and John and probably Lindsey too. Of all members of Fleetwood Mac, Stevie was probably the least social with Chris.
Before the flames come out. I am not doubting Stevie's grief. They seemed not to be friends. Friends hang out. Friends ARE phone buddies.

God I hate her. There, I said it.

bombaysaffires 05-24-2023 06:58 PM

Wait, I thought Haim wrote THE song that helped her grieve Christine..?

Or maybe we are going to have PHASES of missing Christine, and different female artists will feature for each phase.....

God help us if LB passes before she does... or Mick.....

She will make their passing all about her, as she has done with Chris. Not "oh there's one less light in the world w/out Chris" or "The world has lost more beautiful music from Chris". Nope. Just me me me and how everything affects me.

DownOnRodeo 05-24-2023 07:21 PM

It was good of to write that song for Stevie.

I guess since Stevie thinks Harry Styles is her son (?), she has been careful not to publicly jump on the Taylor bandwagon. Maybe Harry has stopped returning her calls.

90% of that post is about Stevie!

"As we ponder the one-year anniversary of Uvalde, and the myriad of shootings that have happened since that fateful day, I can’t help but ask myself, what if it was ME?” (<-- only slightly edited)

As for the Lindsey mention... "I met a boy."
Imagine the frosty silence when someone in her circle slips and mentions Lindsey's actual name.

She saw how off the rails popular Taylor’s tour has been and somehow had to latch on.

And yes I chuckled at “I met a boy..” I imagine the “L word” is way off limits on the tour bus!

This thread is hilarious! :laugh::laugh:

Stevie sure makes some people feel a certain way, that’s for sure. So much so that they repeat themselves, well, repeatedly. How many ways is there to hate Stevie? A lot, apparently, since every statement she makes, even during a concert, brings on a torrent of outrage. The thread about Tina Turner’s death has also taken a ride down the Stevie slide- it’s not about recognizing Tina’s talent and musical accomplishments, but instead is about Stevie.

Didn’t mean to sidetrack the “discussion” please carry on :laugh:

I understand you’re saying I must be blind, deaf, and mute like Helen Keller because I don’t agree with you, but I’m quite an admirer of hers so I’ll take the comparison as a compliment!

I shouldn’t engage in this conversation anyway, since I haven’t read any of the articles about Taylor/Stevie… just what I saw in this thread. I’m a poor Stevie worshipper, I guess. Homer, I’m sure you’ve read absolutely every article about Stevie… I’d ask you to explain it to me but I don’t really care. Really. But please feel free to respond, I’ll happily let you have the last word :)

I read every word in every article(and still have all the clippings), up until her albums started to suck. So I know what her great music is, and also what the lackluster turds are. You seem to think even the turds are great, and that she can do no wrong.
You're nearly the only one in that category, these days. Have a nice night...
