Just a tune, gets lodged for the day.
Some days I don’t think about Fmac, not one bit, don’t even log on toThe Ledge.
Other days it’s just a fleeting thought. Then, some days a song pops into my head just as I’m getting up. And today is one of those days… “Say you will”, all day…all day.. Not even a great favourite of mine, Not even the right lyrics but it’s just hanging in there all day.. Makes me smile. |
Mine always seems to be EVERYWHERE.
|
Had exactly that today….
Over and Over. Was singing it in my head all day at work. When I got in I had to search it on YouTube. |

Oddly, I watched DR last night. It's one of my least favorite things, but I needed something I hadn't watched a billion times before. And don't get me started, but that STUPID Tusk dance...ridic.... this really was a special needs band. |

Everybody (me included) thought that it was Stevie too. I had no idea he could make his voice sound like hers. |

I've never liked that song. It sounds like bubblegum pop. |

I did like IYD when it was first released but when I listened to it the other day, I liked just a few songs. Sadly her A game has vanished :distress: |

DR and SG are throw away songs. |

All of those albums have bad songwriting, but I least like the production on Street Angel. Next I would say is OSOTM and then RAL. Jimmy was gone so there was no one to give her constructive feedback, a least, that she would listen to. Just a mountain and coke and the hang-oners.
I recently listened to SYW after a long break and was shocked how bad her vocals are on it. The songs that I thought I liked (Thrown Down & Not Make Believe) sounded so nasally that I couldn't even listen to them. Nothing like the voice I fell in love with in the early days. But for me the absolute worse is Live In Chicago. I couldn't even make it through it even once! Her first album that was released that I couldn't even listen to. I was shocked and bewildered how bad her vocals had became. Closely followed by the live 24 Karat album (I say Hey Baby). Completely unlistenable. I still enjoy the early work, but I'm protective of my memories and stay away from anything from the last several decades. |

Then a new FM album, and then another tour. Skip the whole SYW. |

But I heard from a source around that time, that a big reason why she left was because her marriage was becoming a reeeaaal sh*tshow. She was still hoping it could be salvaged, but she knew it couldn't be saved by staying on the road or focusing on a new album etc. She wanted to completely change her life and BE THERE. Turned out it couldn't be salvaged anyway. makes me angry that she wasted what might have been terrific years for Fleetwood Mac on someone who wasn't worth it, to a person who really had no intention of fixing anything. I hope she at least found some happiness in those years fixing up her house and finally living near her amazing brother. --Lis |
