WTF?
yet another demonstration of the total hypocrisy of this band. :distress: btw, that's one of the most bizarre publicity photos ever..... let's sit in our pajamas and pretend I'm showing you how to fix a tire at the beach. |

Hmmm. . . I just asked about this on the rumours forum. And here's the answer, by golly.
How was Neil Finn able to wangle solo gigs during the Fleetwood tour, and Lindsey allegedly was not? It's very weird to be brand new in a band and to balance your solo plate with the band's plate (like a waiter) during the year the band is on the road. Vito put out a solo album when he was in Fleetwood Mac, but the band was inactive that year. And Stevie certainly did some recording for The Other Side in early 1988, when the Shake the Cage tour broke for several months before heading to Europe. I think there's more to this story than meets the eye! |

There is most definitely some double standard nonsense going on with this band at this time (and historically, too). |

Moreover, I'm very confident that Neil would be more than happy to work on new material with FM whenever they want. Neil is a songwriting machine (see the documentaries for the 7 Worlds Collide projects and the Out of Silence sessions on YouTube) and he can probably write all the songs and produce a new Fleetwood Mac album in under a month. And the process would be enjoyable unlike sessions with Lindsey used to be. |

There is no chance of Neil blowing out his voice trying to do two tours concurrently and bringing a subpar performance to the band's shows. He will do his stint while the band is off the road. Therein lies the difference. Good luck to both!

And, I hope there’s a little conflict. Not on the level that leads to personal animosity, but leads to a better album. |

Neil and Mike have proven track records as producers. I’d rather have two guys in the band who have the inclination to be creative leaders producing the band than rely on outside producers. If the others are comfortable enough with these guys to want to make new music with them, then play on! |

That's so cliche Steve. Surely you can do better than that. |
