Any chance of this tour being recorded and released?

Either as a CD or DVD? Any scuttlebutt? I really hope they do, though I know someone here probably would have heard something by now if it were going to happen. It would be a great bookend to the Bella Donna tour getting (mostly) released as a CD. :)

Hey Kevin!

At her Memphis concert last month, she addressed the issue of her "stories" that she tells in between songs. She said something to the effect of "At some point near the end of this tour, we're going to film this show, so I've got to learn how to condense some of these stories and not be so long winded" or something like that. I'll look on YouTube and see if someone captured that moment.

Whether or not she's planning to do something with the concert (a DVD/Blu-ray, or television special, or new live album) remains to be seen. But I'd KILL for a great live version of "Moonlight" from this tour. Definitely one of the highlights of the show.

pattyfan 03-29-2017 11:27 AM

What great news. :) I am not a huge fan of Moonlight on IYD but I loved live. There were a lot of highlights on this tour and it would be wonderful to have some sort of recording. Thanks so much for sharing that news. :)

I wonder if it might be the September shows in Illinois, since she's playing the same venue two nights in a row? That way they can splice together the best takes from two nights.

24karatstevie 03-29-2017 01:40 PM

I really hope she does film a show for a dvd because this tour has been so good, and it deserves to be immortalized with a proper video release. Live in Chicago was great, White Winged Dove video was iconic, and Red Rocks (even with it's complete wildness and close ups) has a special place in my heart. I want the same thing for the 24 Karat Gold Tour because it is arguably one of her best!

TheWildHeart67 03-29-2017 03:02 PM

Fingers crossed for a DVD concert of the "24 Karat gold tour." I'd be so happy

amoscascott 03-29-2017 04:52 PM

I would be watching tonights and fridays Pittsburgh show, for.shows being filmed.

Do you know this for fact or speculation?

With the numbers this tour generated it's safe to say a DVD and a CD are already in the producers' minds. :)

fans on FB are reporting that tonight's show in Indy is being filmed for PBS and there are cameras everywhere.

sleepless child 03-29-2017 07:54 PM

Just saw on Facebook, they are filming for PBS Soundstage tonight at the show.

Well, that's exciting.

pattyfan 03-29-2017 10:12 PM

Cool :)
Do soundstage shows usually get released as CDs or DVDs? I personally only ever watch a DVD once or twice but I listen to music over and over again, so I'm hoping for either just a CD or a CD/DVD where they DON'T exclude the best songs from the CD. :)

bombaysaffires 03-29-2017 10:31 PM

I'd bet on a dvd.

amoscascott 03-29-2017 10:46 PM

Again, look for cameras at Pittsburgh as well on friday night. Just saying.

24karatstevie 03-29-2017 11:09 PM

This is so exciting! Hoping for a DVD and CD release. I wish I was at one of these shows, such an amazing experience to be a part of I'm sure!

golden braid 03-30-2017 12:15 AM

They were videoing the show tonight so maybe there will be a DVD.

Phoenix 03-30-2017 03:11 AM

Any details on tonight's show!? Setlist changes for filming? Outfit variations, additional stories, how was moonlight!? Gypsy? Outside the rain? Someone ..

golden braid 03-30-2017 05:51 AM

Of course there were no changes and she hasn't done Outside the Rain since the beginning of the tour. She didn't introduce the band last night which was strange.

Yeah, they usually mix two shows on a DVD release.

TheWildHeart67 03-30-2017 12:42 PM

Stevie's soundstage for PBS was released as "Live in Chicago" on both DVD and CD formats

TsnFan4Ever 03-30-2017 12:49 PM

That's so exciting that they're filming the concert for PBS broadcast and (hopefully) DVD/CD. This is her best solo concert tour (IMO) and it would be great to have it not only for personal use but also for other generations to see.

It's so sad that Fleetwood Mac didn't release a DVD/CD of their reunion tour last year. There was so much interest in it that it would have sold well--especially with the Rumors anniversary tie-in they could have used for publicity.

Please let us know if you hear anything else about televised/release dates.

I'm sure they will film one of their "farewell" shows during next year's tour.

Are you sure it wasn't taped in Chicago? You may be confusing Stevie's Soundstage concert from Chicago with the FM in Boston concert for Say You Will. Both were released as cd/dvd combos.

SisterNightroad 03-30-2017 03:21 PM

It seems that last night at the Indianapolis show there was a cameraman filming on stage:

Credit to Danielle for the pictures.

TheWildHeart67 03-30-2017 03:36 PM

Yes I meant Stevie's "Live in Chicago" DVD and CD. I just corrected it

sorcerer999 03-30-2017 04:15 PM

I wonder if they will release it this year or wait until next year. Stevie and the girls will undoubtedly have to do "post production" work (like they've done on ALL their "live" DVD releases) so that will delay things a bit.

SisterNightroad 04-01-2017 05:39 AM

Looks like also the Indianapolis show was recorded:

Also it seems that in Pittsburgh Stevie and Chrissie have redone SDMHA a second time after the show for recording purposes:

http://crystallineknowledge.tumblr.com/post/159060522412/we-have-to-redo-a-song-and-wed-love-it-if-you

sleepless child 04-01-2017 09:09 AM

I was at the Pittsburgh show last night and we were right behind a cameraman. So we talked to him. He said it could be for HBO or Showtime. Or PBS. There would definitely be a DVD. It was an awesome show.

Chrissy was excellent also. She did perform with Stevie on Stop Draggin' my heart around, but after the show they redid it with just Stevie. Probably for the recorded show. It would look weird with Chrissy Hynde just coming out on stage to sing with Stevie for one song.

She needs some solo product to promote while she's on the road with FM :)
