I made a Change.org petition to try to get Stevie to record one more album with Mac!

Hey y'all!

I know this is kinda silly and you guys may all laugh it off. But life is short, why not take chances.

I made a change.org petition to try to get Stevie to make one more album with Fleetwood Mac. If anyone would be willing to sign and spread the word that would be awesome.

From the bottom of my heart I would like nothing more than a Fleetwood Mac album with the five classic members. I think Stevie needs to know we DO want this album!

SeanJT 12-15-2016 06:45 AM

Signed it!

Thank you!

JohnL 12-15-2016 07:15 AM

I signed also.

louielouie2000 12-15-2016 09:54 AM

Please do post a thread on the Rumours board about this as well; many of those people don't venture into the solo forums.

For those of you who use Facebook, please post the petition link there, too.

Let's keep this thread alive- everyone post here when you sign the petition. I think this petition is a fantastic idea. Let's make sure it isn't forgotten.

SisterNightroad 12-15-2016 12:12 PM

How do we know for sure that Stevie will know of it?

olive 12-15-2016 12:12 PM

is publicly shaming into recording a good idea ?

Macfanforever 12-15-2016 12:12 PM

Sorry to say it probably end up going into the round file but I hope it works.

I guess I looked at it from the opposite direction- it would prove to Stevie that people really still do care to get new music from Fleetwood Mac. It's going to take a lot more than the 300 signatures currently on the petition to get her attention, though.

THIS IS NOT A PERSONAL ATTACK ON ANYONE OR THING just FACT ( anyone old enough to remember facts)

yeah , this was posted to face book via Fleetwood Mac News I know you are not on FB

there are pro comments sign the petition
a lot of people feel she has the right to do her own thing and are not going to sign it

here is a sample since you are not on FB and no one can call me a lair

Bobby Deithorn She has earned the right to do what she wants, she doesn't owe Fleetwood Mac anything right now. In all honestly she is one of the main reasons Fleetwood Mac is still relevant today

M Michelle Repar Stupid petition- Stevie can decide what she wants to do- trying to pressure her is asinine.

David Manuel Have a Fleetwood Mac album without Stevie if she doesn't want to contribute and if the others do have songs.

Lisa Harman
Lisa Harman You can't try to convince her to do it, if she's not passionate about doing it then it won't be any good

SisterNightroad 12-15-2016 02:38 PM

I don't want to sound depressive but in addition to the fact that "if" this petition is successful we still have the problem of making the results known to Stevie (and even then it is not guaranteed that we'll get from her the reaction that we want) I highly doubt that the 500 signatures set by the petition are relevant numbers.

jcalzaretta 12-15-2016 02:52 PM

I would sign if I did not have to give my address! The only reason to give is if the Mac wants to come visit. But I hate giving away the personal information.

Jondalar 12-15-2016 04:00 PM

Signed it!

gldstwmn 12-15-2016 04:08 PM

I will not sign that. :sorry:

secondhandchain 12-15-2016 06:45 PM

The chiffon heads won't sign. I will.

BombaySapphire3 12-15-2016 11:02 PM

Signed it.

Macfanforever 12-15-2016 11:41 PM

I probably not sign this but these do work at times when I signed a couple for animal rights and it worked with 1000's of sigs..

I'd just give them SisterNightroad's.
She doesn't mind.

Phil 12-16-2016 02:38 AM

I hope Stevie reconsiders and does eventually participate in the recording of one final Fleetwood Mac recording. I don't care if she doesn't submit any new compositions, in fact, I'd be more than happy if she were to record the following vault songs:

"Julia" (the new "Sara")
"Forsaken Love"
"China Doll"
"Forest Of The Black Roses"
"Fireflies" (as per the piano ballad demo)

Of course not. I'd never tell anyone where
you hide the key. That's a secret between us.

Not only no.......
Leave her alone. She's doing what she wants to do.

STEVEHEDRICK 12-19-2016 03:13 PM

really its her choice to do what she wants.

Agree here with both of you .They are more impotent petitions to sign then this one like animal rights and other meaningful issues.

KenshiMaster16 12-19-2016 08:44 PM

I've certainly made my feelings on this subject known, and think it's time for her to put up or shut up in terms of contributing to the band fully or leaving and just calling it a day since the rest of the band wants to be more creative than just touring at the current moment.

However, with that said, I don't think a petition would influence her decision nor do I think it should. She should go into any project because she wants to first and foremost, not to please others. While it's sad that we're more and more likely not going to see another album by the 5-piece, I'd be even more depressed if she came with a bunch of junk songs and wasn't into it. Her contributions to Tango (7W aside) are some of her worst imo, not because they're bad songs but because her heart wasn't fully in it and it shows.

aleuzzi 12-19-2016 11:34 PM

She's made her choice, the one she feels is right for her.

The band has also made its choice and continued to record without her.

The petition is sweet and sincere (since it see FM as a collective of these five members) but the choice has been made. And even if the petition could made a difference, at this stage, her participation in an album would only slow down its release. So I'm not for signing it....

I'll take the fifth on that .But maybe CBS 60 minutes or ABC 20/20 Barbara Walters can get an answer about this album. Too bad that Jim Ladd is not around on the radio as I know of.He can get some answers out of Stevie .They can have another 5 hour interview about everything.

Jim Ladd is on SiriusXM these days. I know I've heard him on Deep Tracks. He's also on twitter and (I think) facebook.

It's really not that hard to sign as many petitions as you want. Not a big deal. I can sign 50 petitions in the span of 15 minutes. This is a SN board and a SN petition is very valid. She begged Christine to come back and now that she has she's ruining everything.

Fannymac 12-21-2016 04:20 AM

As much as I want to see one final album with the Five, it was very clear to me at the Forum show Sunday that Stevie doesn't want to be part of Fleetwood Mac anymore.
Why force her to do something she doesn't want to do? And why leave the other four hanging, waiting on someone that wants nothing to do with them (other than the payroll of another major - and I'm betting their last - tour?)?
I say let sleeping dogs lay, and just move on.

The point is NOT that it's hard to sign a petition, it's that I don't believe in this one. It's so funny to read comments like this. Stevie's "ruining" everything! LOL! Seriously? What about when CHRISTINE left for years and years?! Or when LINDSEY left for years?! Things never change, do they? It's always Stevie's fault. I hope she keeps touring solo, I hope she goes to Australia and then I hope she records her OWN record. She is happy and she deserves to be! The remaining members of Fleetwood Mac are the ones to blame for this mess. Let them go on and RELEASE their album and tour behind it. Quit whining about Stevie and do something! Then everyone is happy!

[QUOTE=lulu28;1198479] What about when CHRISTINE left for years and years?! Or when LINDSEY left for years?!

Christine and Lindsey were not as old as Your ( collectively ) Great Grand Parents when they left or at the end of their careers

Thank Lulu..I've been saying the same for the last 3 plus years.Let her do what she wants. It was nice to see Chris back with them but who said it was mandatory to record an album except the few on here that dwells on it.I hope she does quit altogether and move on and close this chapter .

maybe they knew it was the end for her and brought back Christine cuz Lindsey is not the main attraction in FM I mean the whole thing was so rushed Christie's recovery ,the tour with no new music
Stevie releases a record right before a fleetwood mac tour

she decides to go on tour after a major Fm tour to make some Christmas money ? anyone who saw this show knows she did not pull that off in a few weeks like all he previous tours lets hang a curtain and a few lights and put on a show, this took some serious planning

Yeah, if they were that old, they would ALL have been in their graves long, long ago...........

Fortunately, Stevie's tour proves that SHE isn't too old or at the end of her career.......

PS. She is my PARENTS age............ I've been a Mac/Stevie fan since the 70's.

Got a point there.I think they got Chris back because of John's health situation .I'm just as pissed as everyone on here with the games of this band are doing lately with the BS with this album.I think it was poor timing when Chris came back few years ago.
