Wild Heart live -- it should be the whole song, until the very end.

Am I the only one who thinks if Wild Heart is going to be played live, it should be the whole song - and not just a few verses?
I know it's hard song, but I also think the recorded version is one of the best things she's ever done.
I'd love to see it as a whole song, with the ramp-up at the end and the incredible vocal trade off.
Lose Enchanted or Moonlight and let's hear the whole song!

Thoughts?

My thought is quit complaining. It takes a lot of balls to do the set list she is doing. She is awesome.

Not a complaint at all. More praise, than anything else.
I just think the song deserves more time to do it justice.
She turned a corner when she recorded Wild Heart. It stopped a lot of fans in their tracks. So I think it needs to be more than just a moment at the show.

It should be an event -- like Gold Dust Woman.

I always hate when artists do a montage of their hit songs. Wild Heart is a classic that should be treated with the respect it deserves. However just to hear parts of it live is incredible. So I agree. Can you imagine one verse of Gold Dust Woman or another song?
Its like eating one potato chip. You just want the whole bag :)
I think of it this way and you will say WOW
She is doing more songs from Bella Donna since the Bella Donna tour
She is doing more songs from The Wild Heart even during the Wild Heart Tour
Just those 2 facts together sort of blows the mind

You idealist you. Sure I'd love to hear the whole thing. But I'm happy with what we're getting.

I totally hate medleys too. It's like it just whets your appetite for more. A little is never enough.

Maybe she's testing the waters to see what kind of reaction she gets and then her next tour she could do more

BombaySapphire3 10-27-2016 06:11 PM

Medleys for greatest hits are tacky ..a medley for 2 epic title tracks is even moreso.

New Orleans

Cut New Orleans. It's worse than Jane in terms of being topical. She doesn't address the suffering but focuses on Anne Rice and feathers and lace. It's trite. Use that time to sing the sh** out of Wild Heart or put in a song from the neglected albums.

StevieNicksfann 10-27-2016 08:08 PM

Do NOT cut New Orleans. That is one of my favorite songs ever and one she has never done live regularly in her set before, thank you very much. Moonlight also has a different arrangement so that should stay in my humble opinion. So, I would vote Enchanted off the island if it meant getting the full Wild Heart which, yes, I agree - that would be awesome to have and would be an "event"

And for those glass half-empty people - expressing a desire for something does not equal a complaint.

I completely agree about WH.

She should alternate Bella Donna and WH each night, instead of the medley. They are each just too good to do half of. I also thought the WH part of the medley sounded the best.

I don't think Stevie could vocally pull off the entire song these days, unfortunately. I do think that she chooses to end the song in an awkward spot (when it stops and transitions into Bella Donna) but that's just nitpicking.

KarmaContestant 10-27-2016 10:26 PM

At first I thought it was ok. I even entertained other medley ideas that might be neat. But I was wrong. They really are terrible. I do really like this idea -

Yes, I think it's the same reason she doesn't do the middle bit in Edge of 17 anymore either. C'mon, the woman is pushing SEVENTY for F's sake and she didn't protect her voice right for years.

Wow I agree so much with this! She should use that space to do Rooms On Fire, it's a good song and she's been ignoring it for too long.

If there was a song to cut, that would be my choice. She should add another 24k gold song in its place. It's called the 24k gold tour and she is only singing three songs from that album.
