on ellen .... and again on the 7th on the the late show with James Corden

Jondalar 09-25-2016 02:49 PM

Landslide again! How about a song from the new album!

SisterNightroad 09-25-2016 02:55 PM

I think that the Landslide part is a supposition by Olive.

lilyfee 09-25-2016 03:33 PM

Please please Stevie do Carpool Karaoke with James Corden.

Hawkeye 09-25-2016 04:03 PM

She will not sing Landslide on these shows. I will bet you olive. And would be willing to pm our addresses to make it official.there is no way it will be landslide. It was only that way in the voice because it wasn't about stevie she was merely providing emotional background music to that montage they were playing. Plus she didn't have time to rehearse anything else.

It Will be stand back or a new song on Ellen or else I will lose all faith in understanding what the f**k stevie and her people are thinking.

bwboy 09-25-2016 04:03 PM

Olive was just being sarcastic. Steve's actually going to perform Dreams.

SisterNightroad 09-25-2016 04:08 PM

I doubt she will perform new songs if she didn't have the time to rehearse the **** out of them, so I think it will be either a classic song or at most Lady.

Macfanforever 09-25-2016 04:47 PM

Thanks Olive.I had a feeling that shes going to hit the TV show circuit for this tour.I'll get my recorders ready..I'm surprise that she did not get booked on Jimmy Fallon yet.

lilyfee 09-25-2016 05:26 PM

Does anyone else watch Chelsea Handler's show, Chelsea, on Netflix? Chelsea does real interviews and engages multiple guests in conversation with each other, usually touching on politics among other things. I'd love to see her sit down with Stevie! Plus, she's always wearing graphic tees for 80s bands... Just waiting for her to don a Fleetwood Mac or Stevie Nicks tee!

I'm hoping for this too! It would be a hoot! And she did do that silly SDMHA remake with Jimmy Fallon a couple of years ago, so she just might.

Stevie and Sharon and Lori did that EO17 sing along on Boston radio years ago, which I've been listening too recently, so here's hope she will be light hearted and play along.

StreetAngel86 09-25-2016 07:12 PM

Stevie needs to sing the eff out of 24KG
no friggin Landslide or SB or Dreams

i remember that , with WBCN Charles Laquidara was going to interview her it took a few days I think it was 3 days she was never awake at 5 o'clock Boston time to do the interview

bwboy 09-25-2016 08:14 PM

Carpool karaoke might be too... improv for Stevie, for lack of a better word. Be awesome if she did it, though.

If she did, it'd probably be a rocker, like Edge, Stand Back, or Talk to Me. My guess is Edge, just because it's more of a sing along type and the audience knows it better than her other songs.

Britney did it and barely moved her lips ( gotta love her ) She can do it , it's not live they will edit her

WatchChain 09-26-2016 08:55 PM

At this point, I see no logical reason that Stevie should go on a major talk show outlet and perform "Stand Back" or "Landslide". Promotional choices like that only cement her status as a "Dinosaur Act". If she wants to be seen as a viable artist who still creates and grows, she needs to present new material in these formats. That will mean playing something from the "24 Karat Gold" album.

Of course, Stevie's team has made some strange promotional decisions. Let's see what happens.

Macfanforever 09-26-2016 09:56 PM

I agree with all of you.Why is she doing old tunes. I think its what the general fans want to hear is the hits and not the new and unknown songs from older established artists and bands.I know some will disagree here with me but its all about hits. Also the same with TV people .They dont want the viewers to turn the channel when an older artist sings a a new tune .

JohnL 09-28-2016 06:32 AM

Per an announcement I saw on Facebook yesterday, she is singing Edge of 17 on Ellen. Great choice!! rocking Stevie!!

I can't speak for Olive, but I think the point is that it's "too bad" she's going on a television show to promote a NEW tour from a NEW (or "newer" :D) album with NEW songs and yet she misses her opportunity to showcase one of those songs by performing an OLD song.

Don't get me wrong, I love "EO17" but it's been done to death! I'd kill to hear her perfform the title track from 24KG or something else from that album (except "Lady". LOL!)

That was my point , Starshine would have been perfect it's fast it's catchy and has that seventies sort of sound to it would have had them up on your feet but nope we get something from last century

JohnL 09-28-2016 03:45 PM

Ok I have to agree with you. I would love a performance of a new song...but I think we can agree that I bet she was asked to do something classic. Plus, 24K Gold is already 2 years old. At least it is something upbeat and can show she can still rock.

jcalzaretta 09-28-2016 04:53 PM

I heard Edge of Seventeen on Ellen

You are exactly right, it's just too bad. It's too bad because Stevie has an opportunity to present herself as a dynamic artist who continues to grow and write amazing songs. Some of the BEST legendary acts out there (Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Brown, Don Henley, etc...) are STILL making NEW music and PROMOTING IT.

I have come to the conclusion that Stevie is comfortable and JUST FINE with resting on her laurels. She's developed a substantial body of work, and I truly think she has NO INTENTION of continuing to grow as an artist----which, after a lifetime of work, is her right. However, don't complain when she begins to be labeled a "Dinosaur Act" with no new product or desire for continued growth. She can run around the country singing the same 10 songs for the rest of her life and be paid quiet well for it. So, that's fine.

Personally, I have NO INTEREST in watching her sing "Stand Back", "Landslide", "Edge of 17", or "Dreams" on another talk show OR live venue. I won't be tuning in; been there, done that.

bwboy 09-28-2016 07:35 PM

I understand how WatchChain feels, but I'll be tuning in to see if she's interviewed and what she might have to say.

lilyfee 09-28-2016 07:41 PM

I think it would be great for her to just talk, not even necessarily perform/say the same things and leave. She's a wise, thoughtful lady, and if she would just go off-script a little her personality will draw people to want to find out more about her.

That said, Carpool Karaoke would be the PERFECT opportunity to touch on all those old hits in a fun, new way.

Yeah, but remember when she was on Letterman in the late 90's. She had just finished performing and the band started playing out to commercial with an instrumental version of Rhiannon and Stevie literally pushed Dave out of the way, grabbed the mic and started singing. I think she could rock out with car karaoke.

I'm convinced! That would be way cool.

wheart 09-29-2016 11:33 AM

she's selling the tour at this point, not 24K Gold. I think it stinks too that she's forced to do songs we've heard a million times but these are the songs the casual fans eat up at concerts so I believe that's the marketing angle here. I firmly believe Stevie would much rather sing a new song but the oldies are better for business. Just my thoughts...

jrpjr 10-01-2016 06:31 AM

I hear she is doing EO17 as well. YAAAAAWN. Classic or not, it's been done to DEATH! She should have gone "The Dealer," or "Twisted," good uptempo rock songs, "Hard Advice," classic "old style" Stevie Nicks sound or "She Still Loves Him," a beautiful song with a bit of a different style with the Celtic sound to it which could really open her up to a newer fan base. Although the original is so much better than the 1 on 24k Gold. BUT, regardless, sing Mary Had A Little Lamb Stevie and I will be there w/open ears and a happy mind!

Jondalar 10-01-2016 11:31 AM

I won't be watching and don't even care to see it. I hope no one posts it here. Don't support her and maybe she will change it up.

If you dislike her and her choices this much, why do you continue to follow this board? Don't get me wrong because I'm not being a jerk wanting to cause a fight, I'm totally serious here. That much negativity over someone who doesn't even know that you exist is not healthy. I realized that for myself a few days ago over all the uproar with Stevie's supposed lack of participation on the next FM album. I quit posting to those threads and reading anything in the Rumours forum. I don't need that kind of negativity in my life and neither do you. Surely, you do realize that Ellen requests the songs that she wants sung? Also, casual fans only relate to those hits. She's there to promote a tour, not to give a private concert to all of the die hard fans. She's going to sing what is requested. It's your choice to watch it or not, but please, stop criticizing everything. This is a place that I visit to catch up on news about Stevie and the band. It should be fun, a place to find other fans and to share in the excitement of a new tour, a new album or whatever is going on. Lately, it's been anything but that, and it makes me terribly sad. I've followed many artists amd I belong to many web boards and forums. I have to say that I've never encountered hatred anywhere else like I do here. I hope this changes soon, because this is a great source of knowledge for fans. It's ok to disagree, but it can be done respectfully.
Peace.

Got a point there. This goes for all members of the Mac.I know people got their opinions on any of FMs members but its getting carried away here lately with the BS.For seasoned artists like Stevie and others .If they did not change years ago .They are not going to change now.

PastelGravel 10-02-2016 12:46 PM

Honestly, I'm just thrilled she's doing all this! It's been years since her last real solo outings and I think she's really going outside her comfort zone with her ideas for the set list etc... We'll see how it all shakes out but I am always just thankful whenever I can see her and will support her with all she does! Even if she sings Landslide on every tv show in perpetuity :p

Your comment is ridiculous. I am respectful and don't criticize everything. Sorry if you are sad . Maybe u should take a break from reading,
