That's not what was said nor implied at all.........

Do you make this stuff up @olive or are you delusional???

If you're going to quote it or cite it, try to be a lil complete (and accurate) with your header:

WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) - Donald Trump said Tuesday that Second Amendment advocates might find a way to stop Hillary Clinton from rolling back gun rights if she's elected, setting off a political firestorm as Democrats quickly accused him of encouraging violence against his opponent.

Speaking at a rally in Wilmington, North Carolina, the Republican nominee said incorrectly his general election opponent wants to "abolish, essentially, the Second Amendment."

He continued: "By the way, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don't know."

Trump did not elaborate on his meaning. But within minutes, Clinton's campaign and an outside group backing her candidacy denounced the celebrity businessman's remarks as an attempt to incite violence.

"This is simple - what Trump is saying is dangerous," said Robby Mook, Clinton's campaign manager. "A person seeking to be the president of the United States should not suggest violence in any way."

The pro-Clinton group Priorities USA blasted out an email with the subject line: "Donald Trump Just Suggested That Someone Shoot Hillary Clinton."

The Trump campaign was equally quick to dispute that interpretation of his remarks, saying he was simply touting the "amazing spirit" of Second Amendment supporters.

"It's called the power of unification - Second Amendment people have amazing spirit and are tremendously unified, which gives them great political power," said Jason Miller, Trump's senior communications adviser. "And this year, they will be voting in record numbers, and it won't be for Hillary Clinton, it will be for Donald Trump."

************************************************************************

This ^ ^ ^ kind of complete and utter nonsense is the same as the old lawyers trick who asks the defendant: "Sir, have you stopped beating your wife?"

Answer Yes and its an admission, No and its also an admission.

Hey @Olive, is this the best you can do???

WatchChain 08-09-2016 09:47 PM

Whether he said it or not really doesn't matter at this point because he's made so many other UNBELIEVEABLE STATEMENTS during his campaign. The past two weeks have been exceptionally bad PR for "The Mouth". At times, you have to wonder if this man suffers from a mental illness. He's just BIZARRE at times. Trump's MOUTH is going to spell THE END of his presidential bid. I LOVE it!!

It's going to be alright. Just sit back, pop some popcorn, and watch "The Mouth" keep digging his own grave.

bombaysaffires 08-09-2016 09:57 PM

olive is not making it up.

Trump does this sh$T in such a way that he can play all coy "what? nnooooo, i didn't say that......" when, of course, he did.

BombaySapphire3 08-09-2016 10:33 PM

Having to look at /listen to either Hillary or Trump for the next 4 or Gawd forbid 8 years is going to make me want to shoot myself.

Olive I want to ask you a serious question.
Do you really believe that's what he asked
or told his supporters to do?

I don't think either camp is telling us the truth.
From the Clinton Camp acting the way they did.
To the way the Trump Camp explained the incident
away.

All it was in the end was a poor joke. And as bad as
the timing is considering what's been happening in
the U.S. doesn't change the fact that it was a joke.

Today a more serious question to Clinton's safety
was how a terrorist's father was standing close behind
her at a campaign rally.

If she can't protect herself - how can she protect us?

Jondalar 08-10-2016 03:14 AM

You know someone has already been deported for threatening to kill Trump on Facebook. He was an illegal alien.

lol no. trump, no matter how much you disagree with him, is no criminal.

also, he doesn't make up bullsh*t lies, like saying that Chelsea was jogging around the WTC on 9/11, or that she landed under sniper fire in Bosnia (when the video proved her to be greeting by young children with flowers), or that she was named after Sir Edmund Hillary, who became internationally famous after being one of the first people to climb mount Everest....he didn't climb until HRC was 6 years old.

I'm not so sure about that but I wasn't talking about Trump in particular, I'm talking about bullies. I don't know if this is one of your frequent and inappropriate hyperboles but bullying is a crime. Those who engage in it have a lack of empathy, an inability to think about consequences of their actions and to think about long terms in general that is a precursor of psicopathy and antisocial personality disorder.

no, he says he's a "great businessman", all his businesses are "successful", he says he will 'build a wall" and that "mexico will pay for it", he says he will "create jobs" when with his failed businesses he put people out of work....all bulls#t lies.

A 70 year old man who spends all day on Twitter would make a great president

Perhaps Hillary needs a reminder of what 2A is....The 2nd amendment is intended to serve as a reminder / deterrent to the people in power that "We The People" have the ability to defend from hostile forces including a corrupt / tyrannical Government and if necessary REMOVE THEM FROM POWER by what ever means...

I'm pro second amendment. Our government has gotten to the point that the public really needs the second amendment. Now if politicians want to take the right away from the public, then the government should not be allowed to have guns either. If the government gets to have guns, then the people get to have guns too.

becca 08-11-2016 09:47 PM

Well, who is a name-calling, angry, xenophobic, and willfully ignorant guy born into privilege going to appeal to? If you want to back a dumb guy you probably aren't going to be the sharpest pencil in the fruitcake. Dumbing down below even mainstream media levels seems like a really silly plan but I can't see what other plan this reality tv and merchandising buffoon and his explainers and followers have.

Like I said before, if the town next door wanted to consider for chief dog-catcher someone making a virtue about knowing nothing about dogs I'd speak up then too. :)

bombaysaffires 08-11-2016 11:14 PM

the 2nd amendment does not say anything about unfettered access or no regulations at all regarding guns. In fact, it says "a well-regulated militia". Militia means organized, trained, defense forces, not random yobbos. And it also means well-regulated i.e., with rules and restrictions that must be followed. And yes, I am a gun owner, and I have no problem with this.

Liberals?
Donald Trump is the biggest L I B E R A L
He has donated to huge liberals his entire life. He wants nationalized health care and wants trade policies like Hugo Chavez and Elizabeth Warren.
Trump is being attacked by conservatives for being an idiot.
He has no core beliefs but almost has a cult following he attracts with racist and bigoted comments.
I never thought this would happen in the United States but we have become a third world country with a candidate saying insane and racist things but people flock to him NOT because of any issue but because of the cult of personality.
Trump says the Russians are not in Ukraine and Putin played him and Trump took the bait.
Completely dangerous and not qualified to be president.
Trump will lose by a landside. When Clinton is leading in Georgia and Utah and within the margin of error in South Carolina you know its NOT the power of liberals. Its the power of common sense people that want this fool to go away.
If you notice, no Trump supporter ever talks about issues or what he wants to do while in office. Its all conspiracy theories like Obama is not a citizen, Ted Cruz's father was in on the assignation of JFK, the president is a terrorist and sides with ISIS etc. Its all hate and racism.

WE ARE A BETTER NATION

I'm with you on that one. No matter who wins this election, at least 50% of the country will not be happy with the result. The divisiveness will continue and probably get worse. It's time for a strong third party to emerge to save us all from the jackasses in the two major parties.

Stevie for President? Maybe it would be a better choice?

jwd 08-12-2016 05:34 PM

But this?! OMG!

God help us all!

becca 08-12-2016 05:45 PM

Yes, Trump's whining and blaming and playing victim is going down extremely badly with most long time conservatives or leaning conservative. His championing of ye common working folke should be laughable when he keeps name-dropping elites, just today a great long time supportive friend of his who builds factories in Mexico. Factory and coal mining jobs for your future, whoopee. Meanwhile the fearless leader won't show how miniscule the percentage of taxes he pays compared to you is. and mention that despite many years of growth economically only people in his generational class have benefited while you are about where you would be in the 1970s. If only you worked as hard as Trump... why you must hate the very rich from envy, etc. etc.

If you live where your access to information is clogged with sheer political and religious propaganda however, you end up with a lot of apathy drop-outs who find the whole thing awful and won't participate, leaving mostly the fanatical fringes who are motivated.

Now they are trying the Hillary is Dangerous! approach. More hysterics based on four year old emails nobody hacked but might have and gotten the times of a couple phone calls she was setting up. Dumbing down (you know, like video clips repeated showing Hillary making some face) withholding info and manufacturing outrage based on incomplete Rush Limbaugh type 'infotainment' exaggerations. Har har, look at the ratings, numbers don't lie.

jwd 08-12-2016 08:24 PM

And more, oh Hillary!

:distress:

becca 08-12-2016 09:03 PM

What's the theory? People won't vote for someone who has made a face, and even less likely to if they see it looped over and over? Trump has pulled a lot of faces but I wouldn't want the greatest most powerful democracy to be run based on something like that.

Yes, you are correct. I wouldn't vote on either Clinton or Trump, if it came down to voting on pretty faces.

Wdm6789 08-13-2016 04:26 AM

It's still mind boggling that Hillary is even still running and people are supporting her, with all the stuff that has been recently exposed about her. It shows how corrupt the system really is. It also shows that the election is most likely rigged, oh wait that was proven. It also shows that Hillary is definitely an elitist that is above the law. We need to get Hillary and other politicians like Hillary out of positions of power. I don't want my tax dollars going to a corrupt government that has racked up a 20 trillion dollar debt. It's time to fire the feds.

Oh, they finally came clean about the 'irregularities' in Florida in 2000 and the 'irregularities' in Ohio in 2004? I mean on top of the bizarre district areas and heavy voter ID regulations created in response to almost zero fraud to suit Republicans in states they control.

Yeah, imagine saying they will be deporting citizens to military installations offshore and forcing soldiers to water-board and commit illegal acts! Oh wait, that's the guy with all the financial disclosure yet to come just as soon as the IRS finally leaves him alone, and maybe that Mexican judge is replaced with a proper white guy who plays golf.
