Macfanforever 07-14-2016 04:37 PM

Yes I agree. It passes time since we dont have any activity from FM and its members.

Macfanforever 07-14-2016 11:03 PM

Check http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showthread.php?t=56185 for the Twitter note I posted about the tragic France event which is the reason why DT postpones his VP pick announcement.

That would be the best thing to do.Put some good background music on and leave the tele off with the consent election news coverage.

iamnotafraid 07-15-2016 02:53 AM

Looks like Mr. Trump is on his way up in the polls.
Or if you prefer - Hillary is on her way down.

I always listen to either Carly Simon or Carole King while I'm reading.

Great choices.

Macfan4life 07-15-2016 05:12 AM

One thing for sure....Pence loves that Obamacare. One of the few GOP governors that do.
LMAO
Trump also took away one of his BIGGEST arguments against Clinton. Clinton voted for the invasion of Iraq. Trump shocked the GOP at the debate when he argued against the war. Pence voted just like Hillary did.

Pence supports NAFTA and has voted for every free trade agreement while in Congress. Perhaps we can watch a debate between Pence and Trump.

It's official .From DT's twitter page.

Am I the only one who thinks it's odd Trump announced his running mate via Twitter? I get he's not one for doing anything campaign related in any sort of standard way, but if I were Pence, I'd honestly feel slighted. A running mate announcement is typically a big televised affair with lots of pomp & circumstance. You get to see the two candidates stand side by side and you get the full effect of the unity of power and forward motion. I get it, Trump is shrewd in realizing that social media platforms are the present and future, and TV & print media are the past. He can also avoid any media questioning or speculation by bypassing the typical media announcement event. He can chose his own spin without anyone else having an opportunity to derail it. Still, it strikes me as almost dismissive that a tweet is all he thinks his running mate is worth.

And that could be the way he's gonna run your country.

@Macfanforever

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, yes, and I respect that very much. However, I do find it inappropriate and childish to make a Hitler comparison with people you do not like. Also, I'd like to add the fact that there are probably Jewish members on this messageboard that may have been inadvertently offended by such an insensitive comment. Always remember to think before you post.

When I saw your statement I did not know what you were talking about until I read the article last night. Its been reported that when Pence landed on NJ, Trump was making calls at midnight asking if it was too late to change the decision. WTF?

I apologize to all that I offended with that bad name calling. As I can say there is some Jewish blood in me from my mom s side and German ,French,Scotch .American Indian and others in my moms side and full Italian from my father .I just having a bad week here with all the crap on the news from either side and personal issues and want off the wall with it.Sorry with my attitude and to take it out on all of you on who ever you support.

Macfanforever 07-16-2016 01:44 PM

I guess the news was wrong earlier . DT is going with Mr Pence.I'm not crazy over him but Trump has no choice .I was worried about him picking Newt and Mr Christie since they have baggage to carry with them.Pence is only a couple years older then me and he looks older then his age of 57.

SisterNightroad 07-18-2016 07:14 AM

On my national news they have just talked about Mike Pence.
Apparently he expanded Obamacare for those who have low income.
In 2015 he "has signed a controversial bill that, according to critics, would allow restaurants and food and beverage vendors not to sell its products to gays and lesbians."
He tried to add a bizarre postscript to an abortion law that would have forced women to organize, at their expense, a funeral for every stillbirth, even those caused by spontaneous abortion and regardless of the month or the week of pregnancy.
He has tried to prevent state agencies from helping Syrian refugees to re-settle in Indiana territory. Then, three days after the attacks of 13 November 2015 in Paris, when a Syrian passport was found at the scene of the attacks, he also tried to cut off funds to the nonprofit organization Exodus Refugee. The passport, it was later revealed, was from one of the victims.
